Finally finished my dash and pod restoration.
I had 4 small dash 'lightening bolts'. Used Superior Restoration's (of Sacramento) Kit for the dash. Came out great - 100 of 100.
The pod restore was trickier. It had a complete fissure. I used the above kit to repair the fissure from the foam to surface. Worked great, but wouldn't take coloring well enough to blend in for my likes. This is where I got creative. I needed something to now cover the entire pod surface uniformly, and be of a material that was true and flexible. I covered it with rubber. Used Rustoleum's rubber spray. I sprayed it on cardboard - let the propellant bubble out and let it cure slightly - then applied 2 coats with spatulas like icing a cake - painstakingly hand sanded it down - painted with fabric/vinyl spray (its black) - it now looks like I it was heat shrunk like a wire - it would have been a 100 of 100 but I attempted something which I only had to repair so now it is 97.5 of 100. All in all, worked out well.
Sorry, can't take pics now - kids left the SLR out in the rain. I'll hijack one of the girl's iPhone later.
Add: any color would probably work with the rubber business - when it cures (takes a good 2 - 3 days) it is a light gray after sanding.

Spent the last couple of cold evenings removing old steering rack bushings (the work of the devil , especially when done in situ) ; I put Carl's solid ones in , replaced torn tie rod boots and have left myself torn tie rod ends for another day (joints were fine). The steering response is just
, not sure how much better than new stock - but it will enhance the ability to avoid wallabies and possums on my nocturnal travels.

Picked her up following a complete dual clutch replacement - Many thanks to Roger and Sean for the parts and the advice - could not have done it without you.
As always, we found some additional parts needing attention while she was apart but now she is better for the effort.
Took her out for a quick test run on Saturday. She has never shifted smoother, quieter or with more precision in the couple years she has called my garage home.
Life is good.

Friday I got my windshield tinted!
Saturday I drove it to the DFW 928 Monthly Breakfast!
Sunday I ordered Shawn's 928 watch dial!
Monday I drove it 60 miles to work and back … as I do everyday!
