Getting into a TB/WP job on my '88. Checked the tension on the old belt and admired the setting by the PO's mechanic 10,000km ago. While the tension light was on since the job, he said not to worry...

A little bit of cleaning will also be required...

5 speeding & 1 reckless op? How do you find car insurance with that record?

wait my bad, 3 speeding, still have the rest. In Montana you get to like 30 points before losing your license. Not that I'm trying or anything...

I've avoided getting speeding tickets because the cops in my area are total guys, they stare at my car and forget to take a reading.
I do speed, but the speed every one goes is 80+ in the fast lane, so I stay around there mostly.
It also does help to be able to hide next to any car and not have a red 928, mine is black.
That is probably how I avoid most, I also know where on the freeways they like to hide so I slow down around those parts and watch others get pulled over. And yes, I know.
I went to the neighborhood Porsche dealership and picked up 2 crush rings for the oil change.
They all like my car and I even get stares from people going to buy a Panamera.
Mostly confused looks as they wonder what happened to the other 2 doors

I live in a small community, so i'm pretty well known by the authorities, I don't think they like me, they do try to search my car though, i let em cuz i know why they really are doing it and i've got nothing to hide.

Plugged the maintainer into it for a while this morning, dusted it, then drove it on a little 100-mile loop to go visit my dad at lunchtime.

I was reminded on the way down that the heater valve is still zip-tied shut. Brrrr! It was down into the low 60's, pretty much dead-of-wiinter temps for around here. Looking ahead, it will be even colder tonight and tomorrow. My favorite Saturday morning tire-test road will be closed from late tonight due to expected ice and snow. Looks like Global Warming is selective.

Car needs to be cleaned, something for next week.

Replaced the radiator.
Filled it with 20w50 racing oil (high zinc )
Refilled transmission oil.
Took it to 5,000 RPM and found out why the guy I got my exhaust from said it was a racing exhaust.

Default Put away for the winter

Washed and dried the GT, pumped up the tires, added Stabil to the gas and bought a CTEK 3300 battery maintainer. I hooked it up directly to the battery and covered til next spring..

Threatening rain yesterday, and the car was a little dusty from the 100-mile drive on Friday. Best time to pull the car out and clean it. Humidity is high enough that it doesn't dry itself too quickly. Plus we need the rain, and nothing brings rain faster than someone cleaning a car outside. It's back in the garage now, and was going to get the cover. But the rear right speaker column was making a funny 'failing soon' sound, so it will be out for replacement today. It takes about an hour to cut the old one out of the frame, trim and install a new modern speaker in its place. I just replaced the left one about 4 years ago, so now it's probably time to do the right side one.

9º At the new house today, headed for a high of 23º this afternoon. I upgraded the specs on the gas heater for the garage, the one that supplements the ductless heat-pump system areadybeing installed. I havent had 'winter' in a few decades, should be, um, exciting. At least it will be warm in the workshop/garage.

Took her for a SPIN, literally. It had been raining steadily with temps hovering near freezing... Basically, I was late picking up my nephew from wrestling practice and entered an exit ramp a little to aggressively based on road conditions. My bad.

In SUPER SLO-MO: The front end started plowing then the rear end started to swing around. Turning into the skid had no effect so I decided to turn away and go around since nobody was behind me. After the spin I ended up in some muddy grass on the other side of the road. I got a momentary "Check Oil Level" warning and then she conked out after I came to rest. After making sure my underwear was clear, I started her back up and continued on my journey.

Gratefully, no harm to anyone or the car. Will be driving more responsibly for the Holidays!

What kind of condition were your tires tread wise and all season or summer? Just curious
