I filled it full of gas.....put her through her paces for 100km then stopped by the car wash to wash off the splattered 2" hoppers.

Sorted out the air leaks in the intake. Turned out my hamfistedness knocked 2 lines loose at the front. Since I'd been replacing my "86 pipe organ sleeves with silicone tubing I must have missed disconnecting these lines. Now that it's done and all of the hose and lines are replaced and actually connected she purrs at idle and growls through the new exhaust.
God I love these cars!

Bought new (to me) tail lights from Carlos; stupid me on the old ones. After removing to do LED upgrade, spun the spacer threaded washer thingy and upon reinstall tightened which pulled them in toward body too much which combined with heat we had = stress cracks... :P

Been there done that. You rack your brain and seek opinions trying to figure out a way not to have to pull it again. When you bite the bullitt and go ahead and do it you can fix all kinds of problems the second time around and make it that much better. I feel for you buddy. Gunar

Flushed brake system and changed to ATE Super Blue brake fluid. Installed 33 bar rear brake bias valve. Installed stainless steel brake lines. Installed rebuilt axles. Removed GT resonators and reinstalled stock S4 resonators - keeping GT muffler. Replaced original x-pipe clamps with new stepped down clamps - much better seal and there's no need for any fiberglass wrap. Installed new transmission mounts. Changed over from "summer" heater control valve to "rest of year" heater control valve. Pulled yet more wires out that the PO had installed for aftermarket alarm.

Finished the install of G28/12 w/ LSD and boxed up G28/13 w/ LSD for rebuild. The down side of tonight's success is both 1st and 2nd gear syncros are worn to my surprise or my double discs are dragging. Finished the rebuild and packing of the axles too! For the OB's there appears to be a fantastic boot/flange kit for a 930 which is damn sexy for the 928 OB.

Tonight I replaced the mid-speakers in the doors. Found a Black Sony 2-way of the right size and fitted it with the surrounds from the originals. Loosely fitted (no screws yet):

Long time since I've been able to focus on the car, but did get around to cleaning the gasket off the heads. The gasket hadn't shown any signs of failure, but did have a bulge in it...some cleaning with a perpendicular razor blade revealed two corrosion spots...one on each head. The deeper one measured at 0.49mm at it deepest point. WSM states 0.4mm is the max you can shave off, so I guess I'll be adding welding to the machine shop work order list.
