Took mine for a drive, almost home when the coolant light came on.

Pulled into the garage, popped the hood, found a split coolant hose.

Made it home just in time....now I gotta see if I have an extra hose or have to order one tomorrow...

On topic: I didn't do anything to a 928 today.
I can tell you this Rob, I am assembling the bugger on the stand and gonna put it back in complete. I should have pulled it earlier. Oh well, it was fun anyway.

Bought the engine lift for $100 today and got an engine stand for $25.

Drove my 86.5, GPW, 5 Speed over 2,000 miles from OH to PA to the Jersey Shore to MD, VA, WV, KY and back to OH and LOVED every second of it... Of course it took a little longer than a day... These cars are made for DRIVING!

Smile Cup holder!

Ok I have been itching to post something here but never had pictures. Now I do. I switched out the washer check valves, now the windshield washers work. Fitted door arrester repair kits, huge difference, no more bruises from the door swinging shut on me. And finally... a cup holder for my morning commute.

Putting in new heater hoses is much easier standing where the engine used to be:

Mason, did you rub the "928 Owners Club" logo off the top of that or did you get that somewhere else? Those used to be a give away item for a 2 year renewal in about the 5th year of membership. They were quite expensive (for a give away item) and we have run out of them though...

James was that question to me re the cup holder? No I got it online and you are right they are generally not cheap. I actually bought one of these a while back for a different car and I think I paid almost $50 by the time I had shipping on top.

If anyone wants one this is the place to get them: http://www.ultimatecupholders.com/moreproducts.html
$15 well spent and on my 90GT it fits almost perfectly in the hollow on the side of the transmission tunnel and I was able to use the existing screw to secure it.

A cupholder was my wifes one & only request. Cut a piece of exhaust pipe and tapered it. Cup sits in there nice & snug. 77Tony
