Completed the redyeing process on rear seat cushion using Leatherique "factory" color. Started in the rear so as to learn and perfect... I'm an optimist by nature but the redye looks better than new. The seat was in "good" shape for a 23 year old but looked worn and had a few cracks. I did the recommended 400 sand paper preparation/fluid wash and applied some crack filler goo where needed. I then applied 2 coats of dye.
The pics don't show the full effect of the treatment justice. I'll be busy the next few days doing all seats because the results are amazing. More pics to follow as I work through the interior.

I replaced all the fuel hoses for the injectors and regulators. Used the right stuff this time, 30R9, and the proper smooth clamps. Fired right up, and ran beautifully with no leaks.

reassembled driveshafts
Reassembled both driveshafts. Much helped by the following movies:
part 1: disassembly and cleaning
part 2: assembly
Thanks to Van Svenson. The actual driveshafts are from a 914. Only minor differences, like the bevel ring between CV joint and axle stop that is not in the 928 driveshaft.

Burning Brakes
Unfortunately I just looked at my beautiful car parked in my garage....
My clutch is gone!
I must do a list of needed material and email Roger with my order, I decided it's better to replace all of the clutch parts, discs, plate, cylinders, etc, than fix only what broke and probably have problems again in a near future.
I dream about the day I'm going to drive it again!
Regards

Removed and prepped Rear Interior pieces for dyeing tomorrow. Not too bad except the temperature was 103F.
Had a dangerous encounter with Murphy. The rag I was using to clean with had a thread grab a spring that keeps tension on the electric fan brushes for the rear AC blower. What are the odds? The spring popped off and went inside the electric motor. After some cussing I fetched the spring out and with needle nose pliers re-attached the spring. It was dumb luck that I got it reattached because one side of the spring was blind.

Mine look a lot like yours, except I masked the friction faces only. I added a few coats of CRC spray galvanizing to the fins so they will take a little longer to rust. I have four coats of clear over the silver on the hats, and may need to add some motre to get the same depth that's on the wheels.
Yours are looking great! Of course, we'll want to see finished pictures when all is back together.
---
Got some CS springs that will need painting, so I'm planning to get a quart of metallic black for them and the caliper frames. Spare time stuff for when I find some time at home.
