Looks great Greg. I like the purdy clean parts best. I know this represents lot's of elbow grease even with a parts cleaner. I am envious of Kyle.

Did you clear coat the cast parts? They look... shiny I cleaned all the "East" off my suspension componants but the oxidation came back. Not as bad as before but it did come back.

nice job on the restore project, The car will be too nice to drive JK
But it its amazing how clean the wheelwells can get with the right cleaning.
Since your opening things up i would suggest that you remove the washer tank and fill tube and remove the metal collars,
no need to spray rusty cleaner on the hood

Pretty wierd. When the guy that I bought it from purchased it, the front bumper had some damage. The front end he found "came" with the Euro fenders, which he liked better, so he installed them.

No. There are some "tricks" to making cast pieces look nice again. Bead blast with fine media. Gently "scotch brite" the surface with soapy water. Shine sup the high spots and makes things look like new cast. Slows the oxidation.

Yes, I made up some stainless ones. Going to make a batch of them, for others.

great, next time I have my 4.5L apart, I know to do this!

Calling this a "refresh" is a rather severe understatement.

How much longer before you have to let Kyle head back to the Den of Liberalism? I think he's getting a better education right now. He's already repaired more systems on this car than I've done in 10 years.

Oh, I was a bit surprised you're letting him go to Bezerkley. I spent some time there and look what happened to me.

Yes. "Refresh" is not quite what he is doing. It has to be super reliable for me to send him off to Bezerkly in it.

School starts late, this year. August 26th or something like that. Tons of time, right? Looks like a fricking theft recovery, right now. I might have to "pitch in" and help a bit more, next week. We will see how he is doing by the end of this weekend.

It does help that he will be within walking distance to you....

Drove past berzerkly yesterday on my way home - didn't see any liberals. Some A body gm models from the seventies with 28 inch rims, but no liberals.
