Sorry, I have not been on Rennlist much lately. My response may be too late.. I can't say.I would do anything different, although removing the bell housing so you can lower the the front of the torque tube, would make installing the new seal easier.

    Hi Bill,
Sorry to barge in with a personal message.......I'm not sure too many RL folks would be interested in my inquiry.
I've also an '89. I just replaced the pan gasket to find the rear main seal as the true culprit. Your replacement without
pulling the rear sounds great. I intend to give it a try. I would like to ask if you now would do anything differently (in hindsight).
I'm not looking forward to the job....but it can't be much worse than the pan gasket.
At any rate.....thank you for all the helpful and productive posts you have provided over the years.

    Best regards,
    Coleman

Hi Bill, I ran across a posting you did back in 2011 (I think) where you were helping a guy out with his Viper keyless entry. I'm doing something similar (no-name chinese keyless entry device), and need to know where to wire in the +voltage to flash the turn signals. You mentioned C23 and C24 but it was in reference to an 87, not 81. I cannot find, for the life of me, any references to the plugs on the CE panel for ANY year car... so... if you have the info and wouldn't mind helping out, I'd appreciate it. I'm new to this forum and 2-months new to my 928, so I don't have much stuff here on Rennlist. Thanks! -Kevin.
