    Hey Greg,

Have read a bunch of posts you have contributed with respect to the 928 tensioner. I have an 81 that I am working on and the boot is toast, I also noticed it only has 25 discs in it and from what I have read it should have 35? The history of this car is unknown to me so any suggestions on the tensioner system would be appreciated, I see you developed a collar to accept the bigger boot as the small one is NLA?

Greetings. My name is Craig Schiff, and I'm the MainePorsche guy with that odd and sudden transmission failure. I haven't posted in some months for various reasons, but now I have returned. If you could look at my thread I would be grateful. Yesterday I checked the Operating Pressure and it was 8 kPa not the 16 it is supposed to be. I guess there was enough pump pressure to suck the reservoir down on visual, but apparently not enough pump to allow for operation of the transmission. You had made mention of a pressure relief valve failure that could be an obscure cause of the problem (this was before I posted the Op. Pressure values I have). Have a look at my last posts or PM me. I would be grateful for I don't know how to proceed yet. I was hoping the pressure was good and it was the shift regulator valve. Please have a look and help me with this. I think I know where it is going to lead...I would only trust one of your rebuilt units.
    Thank you,
    Craig Schiff
