Its funny how close our visions are for my early car. Just got my redone suspension back in over the weekend. Picking at the firewall today so I can apply the heat shielding.

I have alot of crap to take off the wheel wells. I was thinking of that undercoating (which did you use? Basic aerosol?) but the other side of me says I should make it silver like the rest of the car.

jserio: Jeff, Dude...... Excellent progress. Oh, it is looking sweet. WTG man.

Thanks Man You always got my back. I cant wait to get it out on the road with you guys. It's going to be fun..............tons!

Randy V : F'n sweet, dude!
I like that center transition piece - looks like factory original.
Time to update your car's info in your sig.

Man I'm glad you like it man I was nervous putting it on then liked it. It looked like a turtle shell inmy hand and I was like "I dont know about this $hit hahaha But it turned out good I think. Lemme know if you need one and I'll get him to make another one. You can probably get something similar at an adult book store in reality though haha.

Zackb911: All I can say in unbelievable!! Your going to have soooo much personal satisfaction in that car Excellent job!!!

Zack

Thanks Zack Cant wait to burn 'em up

Abby : Jeff,

That's an awesome color and the two tone interior is way cool...
Is that color a custom mix? Looks as if it has some blue pearl in it from the pics.
Great job brother!

Yeh man What it is actually is that 2004 carrara gt silver code with a medium flake instead of the fine flake. It catches a lot of blue color..........good eye Abby

SharkSkin: Very nice Jeff! It's really coming together. You are very close to experiencing the joy of true bwaaahhh!

Trish is already contemplating the annual cost of tires hahaha I told her thats what tires are for. I pointed at the family car "not those" I said "those" pointing at the shark. Then we watched a biker build off and everyone was frying 'em off. Then Jesse James was frying them off a nice car. Seemed like every other minute someone was burnnin' 'em up and I just kept elbowing and giggling.

wrecktech: Nice restoration. I will second the high praise for the product "duramix" great product. They make several different use products. The flexible bumper repair material can fix almost anything.

No doubt I've been thinking of some other applications for that stuff, tough stuff

Big Dave : Bravo!
Thanks Big Dave

Jim_H ; Fantastic! Very cool
Thanks man

Bill Ball : Looking REAL good, Jeff!
Hey, how's the wheel spacing up front? It looks out a bit far or is it just an optical illusion.
Congrats on a what looks like an honest labor of love. It shows.

Good question on the spacing I liked them out like that (almost flush) and havent been able toget them to rub. Back in june we were going to roll the front fenders and they werent tight enough to roll. They looklike they are way out there but they wont rub and they are clear. Good question though....we kicked that one around for a couple of weeks.

Warren928: Jeff, that's alot of work you've done, I know from personal experience. Good job, your almost there!

Yeh man, But I still have to re install all of the metal strips, seals, and glass. Not looking forward to remembering how all of that went together hahaha.

Yeh i just used a paintable aerosol. it already has a tough chip guard on it from the factory. I had it bright and didnt like it. You can see too many things in there that are better off hidden IMO. Also it made the fenders look very thin and delicate over the blacked out wells. Just real clean too.

Chris Awesome job, that interior color combo works v well.

Chris

Thanks Chris I'm glad you like it. I kicked around most ideas publically here to get feedback. Everyones taste imput works better than my own in most cases hahaha

Jeff,
WOW Beautiful work!
When you are done, you should contact Adam B. and 928 forum. Your restoration should make it into a future copy of the magazine. You are an inspiration to all of us.
