The black and white interior looks great. Are you doing any performance upgrades while you have it all apart?

That looks great Jeff.

Thats where I'd love to be on both my cars paint-wise, but I'm still dealing in the mechanicals, which I think I needed to do first since I needed to drive them. Are those paint booths that the doors and fenders are being shot in? In your experience, do you think this could be done in a garage? With a small compressor and a cheap paint gun?

Does anyone know how to mix paint?

Jeff, you have a green thumb, err...black greasy thumb when it comes to car restoration! ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! You've inspired me to do a poper teardown for the repaint of my black 944 in 2 years! Beautiful job and I'm sure John D and Pete will keep this as one of the most memorable threads of Rennlist! Great to hear from you again and I'm glad your ok! Have a happy new year!

Dave....shafted hahahahaha. Yeh I got that alright.
Stig....... Thanks man. Dude I am so hot for that chick on your avatar. I just look at her and imagine a thousand tricks to teach her alright. She'd never be able to go anywhere else without being bored after being defiled the ways I'm thinking hahaha. Man i hope you do jam your car out.

Brendan........ I still have to do my trans too. Yeh That's in a booth. You can spray with a small compressor but it would have to be at least 60 gallons to keep an even pressure for your paint to come out evenly. The hvlp guns are way down in price and you can even get them in pep boys or advanced auto for less than a hundred bucks....way less. If you put a cheap dryer inline you have it made. You'll have to cover the whole garage in poly plastic and hose down the floor. Metallic paint is a bitch because when you get trash in it (dust) it not only makes a hump in it (which can be sanded out) but it alters the pattern in how the metallic lays down on the car which cant be fixed. Metallic paint cannot be sanded...only the clear afterward can be. So you can get it flat but if you have dust in the paint you'll still see it. But there are ways to sand it and flash it in as a last resort. Hit me up for that if you need it hahaha.

Flying dog......... Thanks man. The white is actually a real light grey. I wanted to match the carpet to it but coulodnt get it exact so I went the other way with the carpet a bit. Still looks cool though. Yeh man I want a blower on it next year. Just to feel some extra G's

Red UFO......... wassup freak????!!!! hahaha

Under the fender wells are a easy fix. They just have to be re- undercoated. They werent red from the factory, They were white. I'm going to bleck them out. Tape and spray. Under the hood we are going to do like the late model mercedes and go with a matte black. New sponge under the hood, clean it up and polish a few parts and it should look new and nice........CHEAP AND EASY ....... haha I've been saving all the cheap and easy fixes for last as a final sweep over the car. There are a few things like that. Painting the brake calipers is another one. Once I get to thepoint where I'm doing all these little things I'll be in tall cotton

Thanks Jim, The interior soulod be done in two weeks for me to pick up and finish Then its back to putting all of those dreaded rubber seals and aluminum trim back in all of the doors and windows. I'm sure I will be bending a bunch of it all to hell (as I have a record of being heavy handed) I have been dreading that chore ever since I started taking it all off. So if anybody has some good stuff laying around I will probablt be needing it in a month Thanks again man
