Jeff - Great job on the dash! It looks really good! All the pics that you take are awesome for referencing. You should put a book together!!

One more question, did it say anything about the life of the glow gauges and how long they last before they burn out??

The glow gauges "should" last a pretty long time. I put some in a honda I previously owned over 5 years ago. One of my friends owns the car now and they still work great. Maybe a case by case basis though. Just my 2 cents.

Jeff - how did you break a needle on the glow gauge install?

I can't see how the glow gauge overlays install without removing the needles - can you explain the procedure?

Thanks.

Well actually My big fingers broke the needle. And it wasnt even when Iwas working on that guage. ............My hand inadvertently passed buy the guage and broke the needle in half. Very very light guage aluminum bent at a 90 is all they are but a spot of glue and an 1/8" overlay and it looked good enough. Tach needle looks shorter doesnt it? hahhaa. Well all you do with the big ones is slide the overlay over the needle till it hits the base of the needle center (the plastic circle that the needle is based on) Then make it pass under the base and it will clear the rear side of the needle. That is on the speedo and tach. The other two REQUIRES to remove one of the needles from each guage to get the overlay on. I dont care what they say it just doesnt work. Unless its like a rubiks cube. But anyway I just popped one of with my fingers from each (took a little effort) Thenehwn finished Just looked at it cose, set it on zero and played with it till I could feel them seat in their orininal position and carefully pushed them strait down back on.....no glue, no nothing.

Thanks Stan, Recycling your good parts my man! Thanks

Ok Here's how it turned out. Allbut the buttons, I broke two of the clip holder things that hold them in the pod...........damm damm dammmm

That'sall I had energy for this weekend. I had the flu. By the way, Does anyone have the no spoiler metal trim for both rear quarter glasses for sale? I need both sides

Besides that I'm really happy how that $90 guage upgrade turned out and the $260 for thr wheel and hub made a fat difference too. The pictures usually look better than the real thing but not in this case. I took a dozen and none did it justice. It looks wicked standing there.

Looks great.
Dod you or are you going to paint your faded pod switches? Mine are really faded so I'd be interested in the process.

I was going to buy those stainless or brushed aluminum bezels from jager but painting them sounds like a plan too. Some of them are rubber though so they may be funny to do. I have to sit back and look at the big picture for a coupleof weeks before I figure out what I'm going to do. My creativity comes in short spurts sometimes haha I have to wait around till it comes around. But Asalways I'm always listening to everyones Ideas
