Hey Mark, I'm interested to hear what your brake pad bed in procedure is, if you're still sharing it.

    Hi Mark,
After my first season of DE my last instructor suggested a brake upgrade. Definitely want to avoid the squeaking so could you send me your bedding procedure? [email protected]
    Thank you,

Mark. thanks for the reply,- its definitely oil into the coolant. The header tank filled with oil and the engine lost quite a bit as shown on the dipstick. I'm convinced by your theory that because its a combination oil cooler where the warm engine coolant is being used to cool warm oil it can't be doing all that much. Perhaps if it was revving at 4000 rpm for long periods in a hot climate, but in reality that's unlikely and even if it did, modern oils are much better at keeping viscosity at higher temperatures than they were when the engine was designed back in the day. My question is: did you simply blank off the fittings (using stop ends) at the flow and return on the engine block or did you connect the flow and return together allowing oil to flow (but not to the radiator)?

    Hi Mark

You mentioned plugging the oil cooler circuit on your 928. My radiator is mixing oil in the coolant. I'm in the UK and its never that hot so I'm wondering if its an idea to short circuit the lines to the oil cooler. Does this have any impact on the idle/temp sensor ignition settings or any other negative implications?

    Thanks
    Jock

    Hallo Mark,

I have been reading your posts with great interest. My Ferodo Racing DS2500 are squealing like hell on my BMW F32 during normal/street drive. Car is having original sports M Performance brake rotors and pistons.

Would you be so kind to email me the BEDDING in procedure you recommend in order to reduce and hopefully eliminate the problem.

    Email: [email protected]

    thanks a lot, Regards
    Cris
