I installed my freshly painted (thx Elliot) shaved bumper today.

its actually welded, instead of JB welded, but you can still see every spot welded in the right light.

Man...three days of nothing but Porsche.

Day 1- Replaced radiator, fan switch, all coolant hoses, both temperature sensors, and changed the oil/filter.

Day 2- Cleaned off all the old, dilapidated hood liner foam. Just for the record, only use the 3M red and white adhesive remover. The rest is junk and dosent work. It made the job really simple.

Day 3- New injector, O2 sensor and had the muffler shop locate the loud-*** rattle coming from my cat. Turns out it was the metal cap from my O2 sensor that had fallen off.

Been cleaning up the 968 daily driver. First it went through a double wash, then paint cleaner, polish, and will finish the wax job tonight. I want the car to look good for the Porsche Car Corral at Barber this weekend.

A preventative eminence weekend...

Pulled the fans complete off radiator. Then off with the clips and blades. 3 & 1 oiled them up and wd40, red straw- squirted into the back as best I could. Ran & repeat a few times sans the blades and to burn off excess. Way quieter and the high pitched squealer one appears fixed for now.

Removed coolant then and installed a new expansion tank for the ugly aged 1983 stamped one which had stress cracks, but was not leaking (yet)...Oh installed a new Wahler rad thermo fan switch while I was in there too.

Loosened up intake heater core flow hose, that was blocking access to bell housing ground point bolt (what a pain!). Oh with rag over flywheel hole (great advice)... this was the longest time spent on 1 task, man what a chore!.

Cooling system wise... well it was working fine.... Road testing after - burped her a couple times on a close by factory steep loading dock..And get this... I didn't create any new troubles there... and still no leaks this morning ...man what luck!

Cleaned & die electric greased while installing 2 more additional premade cables from each end of that bell housing - body frame ground strap... Going forward from there to both of the front headlight grounds (which I cleaned up too). Re did the battery negative strap both ends and positive terminal too.

All in all I didn't have any electrical troubles before and the connections were all clean. Next lift date ...plan to add rear ground straps...

Threw in a new air filter since I had it...and every single task under the hood seams you start with that box cover removal...this case to clear expansion tank R&R.

Needless to say ya'll had me fearing these things.... and feeling that these little peace offerings to appease her...may make the P car gods happy enough with me... shifting the P voodoo to another unsuspecting lister.

Checked out Nineaparts shop (north east of Toronto) and picked up a new centre console pad, and tray/hinge assembly.

Talk about a ton of P cars! There must have been 40 cars that looked almost driveable, but were scheduled for dismantling!!!!

I am continuing with the interior cleanup!

I finished my first engine swap. And will start soon on the rebuild of the "old" engine, I had a spare engine so I put that one in and its running pretty great. Drove it 1 hour today and all is well, just alittle noise when from the tourqe tube, but that was ther with the old engine also.
And washed it so it shines in the sun her in Bergen, Norway

Photos will come later form that.....
