Lucky you: I had to have my car completely repainted when the clearcoat (87) imploded. On the bright side the car is still beautiful 3 years in. So where is Amelia?

Nice! What do you use to seal it?

Did exact the same thing yesterday

Ironically also used Jescar (Menzerna) Power Lock to seal. I've got 1 coat on it now. I'll be adding another coat today.

Have you used it before? I'm new to this product, wonder how long does the sealant last on this single stage paint?

I've used it on my daily driver (with clear coat) before. I'd say 6 months. First time on my 944... and i don't drive my 944 very often and it's garaged so it'll last a long time for me. Good luck.

Today I drove around, went for a beer or two and enjoyed my 944. Simply a great car!

Spent a few weeks with the car apart to repair the clock. Display was broken for over 20 years, finally got the $30 replacement part to fix it.

Had to pull the glovebox (of course) in order to re-install. The instructions on Youtube from that German guy are extremely good, key is to keep all of the contacts absolutely clean.

Worth it. Now to pull and refurbish the injectors.

In an attempt to broaden my Porsche experience beyond the transaxle obsession I've been acting on over the last 20 something years, I managed to purchase a 1967 912. The deal however morphed into a two-for "clean out the garage" special so this one is a sort of by catch.
It's a 1980 924 Turbo, the original owner (who I purchased it from) drove it daily until some cold start issues garaged it in 1995.
I don't have space or time to work on it in any meaningful way at the moment but will spend a couple days on a quick triage and condition assessment. So far, it's cleaning up really well and the condition is much better than expected. I'm totally in love with it, I guess the heart wants what the heart wants The colors, Diamond silver and Helios blue, and the two-tone division really accentuate the simple and beautiful body design of the 924.

This went in to garbage. Think of of the "negative".
