Pirelli P6000 215/60r15 and no, pressure was fine. The rear end went out..... quickly.... on the highway, looks like dry rot on tires I use regularly.

tl;dr for the filter to hard lines running to the engine, you can fit AN-6 sizes hose over them quite easily. Removing the crimps is a pain, take care not to mar anything that contacts the hose & obviously use nice clamps. For the pump-to-filter line, there's a few options to build your own, but you can't fit AN-6 hose over those fittings (and yours look like they deserve a rest )

Which is why tires should always be replaced even if they seemingly look good if they are 10 years old or beyond for sure.

Tire Rack people sent a guy to switch the rear two tires on the 87 944S. Turns out they weren't rotted, fine shape other than one exploded so I am keeping the other as a spare.
Back on the road and certified to 120mph if needed :-) Oddly enough the collapsible spare did hold air and seems to work. Time to deflate it and put it back for the next time.....

How old was the exploding tire? Glad to hear you and the car were ok.

And yeah, I am very glad I have autocross/skid pad time. The car lurched hard and fast, it was pretty much an explosive decompression not a nice slow run to flat.
