Installed the refinished PD's
Should be what I did in the past month..besides all the other stuff...keeping my 944 DD commuting toy up...
Well after blasting them, primer-ing them (2 part epoxy), having paint (Duplicolor Graphite wheel paint) lift primer later that day.... ARGH. ..OK cure 1 week and:
Then sanding down & more paint again, to final (Duplicolor Wheel) clear coats ....to what is a 7/10 job at best...still can tell there was some lifting...OK ...let cure for 2 weeks ...
Then yesterday at Goodyear paying a fortune to have wheels & tires swapped plus the spin balanced on these...they say 1 rim took a lot of weight and looked bent? (like 2.5 oz tape a weight in the inside there is a lot?)
I end up clearing touch up - them as is - for the massive scuffs on all 4rims they did installing the tires, so getting them to a 6/10....ARGH #2...
Now not sure I like the look.... figures ...well I'll keep the cookies and refinish them some day.
Still loving it..but I guess I found that nasty slow speed rrr-rrr-RRR road noise ..... while checking rear slop- play (like a ball joint) I see there is slop in & out of wheel top/bottom ...guess rear wheel bearings will be next weeks project...ARGH #3...
I haven't road tested yet the way it was going yesterday, I feared she'd shed 1 wheel to further convince me it don't want the new shoes
So does this ever work... can you discipline these things?
I gonna show it who is boss & I am going out today now... get the driveway sealer and proceed to seal the 944 in the corner in the garage for the day now to punish ...Yeah on this sunny nice CNY P-Car driving worthy Sunday I am taking the SUV to the country! Wonder who will win this battle of wits?

I'm taking this wheel thing way to far for some winter rims, painting the crests took about 45min a pop. I hope i don't suffer NY's fate with the duplicolor clear lifting my acrylic.

Three Wheelin'
Installed the Lindsey vacuum hose kit for the engine with the vacuum valve. Still need to do the vacuum line for the heater valve which I cannot find where it goes to.

Truly finished the t-bar delete and suspension refresh. I had made the error of going with 6" rear springs. It took me about an hour to swap in 7" springs. It's amazing how quickly you can do something when you're doing it the second or third time.
I also re-installed my 6-point harnesses in preparation for an upcoming HPDE.
I also gave her a nice bath, dried her off, and put her blanket on.
