They are heavier than the seats they replaced but worth it. Much more comfortable not including the extra bolstering alone. I got it from Van. It draws the eye away from the yellowness of my coolant tank nicely.

Here's the link to it:

I think my alternator is going out. I could replace it but If I am going to start pulling things apart, I'm afraid I may just pull the whole thing and put in the 2.5 liter engine from my 86 turbo.

Then I'd have to decide what to do with the 3 liter once it is out.

Today I started doing a bit of work on the 2.5 liter to get it ready for transplant.

I am freshening up my phone dials. I have sanded, primed and am now waiting for my 2nd coat of paint to dry. Mine looked dirty and faded. I have been eyeing some turbo twist, but decided to stick with my stock wheels instead. I hope two have the rears done today and do the fronts this weekend.

get some spacers for the rears..or if you have spacers, get bigger ones...the 951 will look great with some spacers on the rears.

Just wondering if you have it set for the 30% reduction in side to side movement or if you kept that standard ?
Now you have used it what are your impressions ?

I continued to clean crap off the interior of my car '86 NA. The floorboards are about halfway there.

Is that a brillo pad on that sander?

Realized the passenger side of my car has positive camber, and the driver side has negative... Silly PO or just plain stupid? You decide

Installed a Kenwood Excelon KDC-X597 head unit in my car today. Installed half of the crutchfield wiring harness adapter because whoever put in the old system cut the speaker wire connectors :/ . Soldered, heat-shrinked, and taped the whole harness up. Tucked it all the way in, pulled the console, installed the frame, got it all plugged in and.....

.... didn't work.... because the continuous 12v pin had been moved to another slot. So I moved the pin back to the correct position and it worked!

Also installed Alpine SPS406 speakers in the front. They fit into the well great, but the grills do not fit well over them. I plan on cutting a hole in the grill for the tweeter to stick through. Should look slick. I have plans to instal the same speakers in the back after my A/C gets recharged. But just with those speakers, head unit, and KLA sub... this thing is pretty damn sweet sound-wise.

Also fixed my noisy dash pad, steering wheel position and steering wheel squeak. All I hear is turbo spool and exhaust notes now. Can't wait to drive it tomorrow!

Scotch-Brite pad, actually! I wanted something that was going to take up the crap stuck to the floor but wasn't going to be harsh on the paint. I had a stack of those and a good idea. Works great but they wear out fast.
