The weather was a little bit cooler, though it got muggy as the day progressed until raining in the early evening, but I got the carpet installed..Was much harder than I had thought, though I have installed custom carpets before. Doing the rear wheel well arches were PITA, as well as the drivers foot box. I cut the carpet a bit differently than a stock setup, and took advantage to make the ecu cover, have its own separate piece of carpet, so it can be removed with minimal fuss. Anyone that complains about the difference, can buy their own carpet and do their own car. I'm stiff and sore from all the contortions required..tired too..

Replaced all the vacuum lines with the LR silicone kit. Found 2 hard lines that slid easily out of the rubber t's AND the vacuum line for the idle stabilizer port under the throttle body disconnected.

Also lost a copper washer from the bajo bold on the intake... it's on my shopping list. Along with a few hold-down clamps and other Misc. hardware.

Replaced the front crank seal, started it up and watched oil seep out of the pan gasket

Finally managed to jack the car up to a height that will let me drop the engine out.

Used railway sleepers under my jack.

Pulled a muscle in my shoulder moving said railway sleepers.
Giving up for the weekend.

Went for a nice winters afternoon drive, got a puncture in my 3 month old front left (all 4 tyres are new). I wasn't too far from my parents place so limped it the 200m there. Couldn't make it up the hill on their driveway and got stuck in the mud

Stepdad had a spare set of fuchs so borrowed one wheel until I get my one patched.

Decided to attack rust. I'll consider it a draw. More to do.

I did a little hacking to the stock DME code to eliminate the WOT timing and fuel maps. Then re-wrote the PT timing and fuel maps so they're used at WOT, too. Added a couple rpm rows to the table, re-scaled the load columns to include higher boost, then tested it. It drives nice! There's a little more work to do but at least I know it works. I just need to bump up the highest load column a little more. Maybe I'll look for a way to add another load column if I can find more room in the code somewhere.

Finished installing the new Lindsey exhaust, started the wiring process on the SP1 car. Fuel pump wiring, fans, and oil pressure sender.... There is a lot more wiring to come....
