Driving home yesterday, the temp gauge started creeping past halfway. I think I need to bleed the cooling system.

Apparently I scratched it as I walked by it in the garage.

Was bored in the garage last night, so I opened up the big door to enjoy the evening air, and popped on a classic Zombie movie, and spent some time cleaning the wheels/tires, glass, and the soft top plastic windows.

Just picked this up from being powder coated. I'm still in disbelief how bad the casting for this thing was.

My drivers side power window came off the tracks so i took the door panel off and proceeded to lose one of the black rubber donuts that fit into the tracks.

Put the intake all back on. I had most of it off so I could port match the n/a throttle body (the only one I have is still on the car) to my new to me n/a intake that I am port matching/smoothing, and an exterior cleanup and paint. Took some measurements for a future "J" boot replacment from mandrel bent aluminum, and finished porting the afm within an inch of its life to smooth out the airflow as much as possible.

Once winter sets in, I'll do this all again to finally install the new intake manifold!

1/2 way through..cover the yellow sticker or it will be gone.

Done!

Changed the Turbo badge to silver...never liked the black/red combo. Too drab..

Good - My 1986 951 won the Import Sportscar Class (Furrin ) at the Car Show today.

Bad - Earlier this week the odometer went out at 91,900 miles. I am sure it is probably the gear. More work to do there. I will change all the bulbs while I am in there.

Good - Had the bolster and some other upholstery and leather repaired in the car ahead of the Car Show.

Bad - When I moved the drivers seat it snagged the wire after the re-install of the seat, and set the warning buzzer into full time mode. So the seat has to come out again and fix that.

Seems this is how it goes. I do get ahead some time though.

Blackop,

Looks amazing man. This has been on my list "to do" for a while now. What did you use to scrape the old junk off? I have a wall scraper that flooring contractors buy from us at work and was thinking to use that. Also, where did you find that 3M product? What did you use when you applied the remover? In other words what did you apply the remover to? Were you planning to stick on something else now that its so clean?
TIA

Thanks...Yeah, that's the remover you need. The glue is pretty heavy duty. I got it at Napa..they were the only ones who carried it. If you go to their site..type in your zip. Attach a drop cloth with tape and use a plastic putty knife/scraper. The foam comes off without the remover..I put the solvent in a spray bottle. I used a microfiber for the very last bit of residue. I probably wont replace the foam...Porsche actually quit putting it on the later years (951/S2).
