Funny - but I know what you mean. Clean work work drive work work and then clean and buy parts.

I have bought quite a few new bolts. Then I used a 5' cheater bar to install them

Next time - and if I ever sell this German hose monster 951 I am buyng and NSX or something. I swear .

Built the base for the battery re-locate to the right rear fender well. I'm a bit cautious of welding back there so riveting is the way to go.

No, red near the dodges, hit in the front. The 924 was the only 944 variant car I saw there.

Painted parts for rebuild.
The wheels are powder coated and I found the paint at an auto paint store. I'm happy with the match. I bought the paint just for the center caps but the old, "While I'm in there' bug hit me and I started shooting paint everywhere. I was going to do the fuel rail and then I ran out of paint.

It's a long, long time since I posted on this board. Replaced my door locks as the originals had siezed while the car was off the road. Also got the headlight assembly working again. Car should be roadworthy (although not pretty) by next week.

225/50 Toyo T1R up front, 245/50 Hankook 405's in the rear. Wonder if they'll fit under the car..

just saw this post... your front tires will be ok, but your rears may be unsafe.... have a rear tire disinflate in the rear and you'll be looking at a seriously bad wreck. this is a sports car not a nissan sentra. the smallest recommended tire size for a 10" rim is about 255 mm. 275~295mm tires will seat the best on a 10" rim.

Got the tires mounted and installed the center caps.
The wheels look a lot darker with the tires on. I'm not sure I like it that dark. I'll wait to see them on the car before I pass final judgement.

wow Monkey, are you really running 10"s back there?! that's some big feet!

odurandina is right, the WOF man might have a problem with the tyre stretch.

This came out from LVV a few years ago, not too sure how much its adhered too at wof time though...

Had a busy weekend. Replaced the front crank seal and the Balance belt/timing belt since the seal started leaking right after i did the belts a few weeks ago. Then today i pulled the blower and resealed the box so hopefully it wont leak into the car anymore. I also installed some of my dads lo-tech airfilters on the blower box so i have hepa filtration now. Also installed a 968 cowl cover after putting the box back in. Then i put in a mounting plate for the relays in the rennbay headlight harness. I used the 16v ignitor mount to do it, then once that was in i put in the Hella e-code headlights w/ 90w/130w bulbs.

A productive weekend to say the least.

Replaced the long handbrake cable and brake shoes. Car goes for its test tomorrow. With any luck it'll pass and I can tax and insure the car and finally start driving the damn thing.

I love the look of those, I would love to see them on your car when you mount them. I am going to be looking for some turbo twists to go on my baby soon
