I picked the 12 mm spacers I needed to lower the crossmember and right now I'm waiting for the propane heater to warm the garage so i can start forming the styrofoam blocks into an oil tank for the dry sump. Once it's formed then I hand lay carbon fiber and resin and when it's all done then I drop a little acetone into the form and the styrofoam is disolved and i'm left with a tank. Thats the theory anyway. I'm taking pics so I'll post the project when it's done.
doesn't the LS motor have a structural oil pan?

works great . third gear is super close now...
getting old one off was kind off a PITA , had to use sawzall and a little finesse.

pulled timing belts and rear timing cover. Gonna pull the waterpump and all the hoses tomorrow. Need a new J Boot and have to figure out a way to replace the vacuum manifold lines from the j boot to the hard pipes as mine are shot and not split...

Front wheel bearings. Harder job then it sounded but done.
Along the way I made an interesting discovery. The driver side front brake calliper was held in with only 1 loose bolt. So guess that solves the occasional thump from my breaks

Pulled the transaxle out for the second time...then yanked out the exhaust parts I had just installed and the unbolted and slid back the TT...now to get the bellhousing bolts out and expose the clutch. Not fun! Anyone have any tips on removing the bellhousing bolts? They are one helluva PITA!
