Took some measurements for a new custom speaker box. One I already built doesn't have enough punch, although it doesn't interfere with the top when its dropped like the old one did (and mark the rear window)

Am I so old that no one remembers "passive radiators" used in speaker box designs? Went to a couple of stereo shops, and they said that they have never heard of them used in cars!?? wtf? I'm not that old damit!

Anyone remember old Kicker boxes?

I remember them, but if you would have used the term tuned port box, they would have known what you were talking about

I put the timing and balance shaft belts back on today. Spent about an hour looking for the crankshaft bolt washer that I dropped when putting the lower pulley back on... eventually found it, inside the fan shroud...

All that is left is to rotate the engine and verify tension of the belts...

Yes, they are the same.

And yes, I too went through the gear position thing..LOL... I love Clarks Garage! Every bit of info I need (except some torque specs..)
http://www.clarks-garage.com/shop-manual/eng-08.htm

Hope that helps.

What I did find is that the woodruff key is pointed up on both shafts when you install the gears with the timing marks oriented towards their requisite marks on the rear timing cover.

Yes indeed u are that old now.... it is the year 2020, 944's have become rare and worth 500k, robots have destroyed 80 percent of the human population, there's only fat chicks left and david hasselhauf's head is frozen in a jar.... so is his chest hair.
