I don't hate it, Just there is a bunch of cool guys that have their own opinions, or don't care, about music.

Doyle: We agree on Steely Dan......Becker and Fagn are a magic combo.

Rusnak-I've got everyone of them on my Ipod too.......I'm very friggin' eclectic and varied in my collection.

The Ritz was a complicated thing involving a family member (as you well know)..those emotions would always run "high". Yet, those pictures of Alex with blood on the tux was just shocking,......I just couldn't imagine what could POSSIBLY have happened to go to that level? Esp. with a guy such as Alex (for god's sake...)? Something was up there,...a bunch of redneck FL cops out to have a "go"...water under the bridge.

Big jazz freak here, too,W/B...too many to mention.

Each and every piece (style) of music fills it's own space and renders it's offerings. I like all kinds of music....for all different reasons.......

Discussions of sound/acoustics are often way to complex to hit on this forum for sure but fun to "touch" on with the P-guys....(vs. fellow audio engineers)...sometimes it's quite "funny"...

In closing, I'll say this: there always exist a "resonance" between the listener and the source. Many elements that comprise this dynamic process,....in the end, should I declare a band that strikes THAT resonance, NO QUESTION: IT'S RUSH...both musically and lyrically..(many, many close seconds,..BUT). They ARE my resonance.....to listen to them is a spritually-musical uplifting experience in SO many respects (musically, technically (duh?), philisophically (lyrically) and their personalities (vs the industry around them). They've SO NOT COMPROMISED who the fuch they are in a real nasty industry (I run there,..I know). Look around you and tell me who the frick (3-piece, mind you) is still around turning it out (listen to Snakes and Arrows? Holy ****?)...the list IS quite short. The most repectable gents OUT THERE..inspired MANY who have come since ........they, themselves, inspired by Cream, Blue Cheer, Who, Zep,........I, too, played this stuff.....Hell, I chased that "carrot" (didn't we all). I remember the times at Univ of GA, 1974,..running our band thriugh the clubs while trying to get an education..I remember always playing just down from clubs where Michael Stypes and some of those boys were playing,..we'd go down the street and listen to them on break,..and they would come listen to us on their breaks...they later GOT that carrot,..it was called R.E.M....what a long strange trip it has (truly) been...

not to ramble (further)...guess I need to make this technical:

has anyone else removed/replaced the fuel screen filter (recently)?

Talked to my wrench today and he agreed that we should go ahead and change it (won't hurt a thing....(he says..?) ). Get the tank bottom removed of it's debris (if any) and apply a fresh/new screen assembly..engine should be back in (BTW) on Friday.

Let's see what shakes,..

Thanks for any/all musical discussions to "flavor" these technicalities..I think it quite "neat",...gotta' love the metaphors.....

I will proclaim this to be the "Time to address the #1 plug, with RUSH thematics"

(hehehehe).

please,....no curmudgeons.

To all, a sleepful night...for tomorrow awaits us.

Aside (and let's go WAY OT), I've a myeologram tomorrow A.M., as it seems I've a ruptured (blown) disc space at C6-C7 (pretty much demonstrated on MR Imaging) and a "possible" at C7-T1. The jist of the test is tomorrrow is to decline my body (head downward) then proceed to inject contrast (via large needle) into the spinal canal then proceed to take fluroscopic Xray images,.... then on to CT scanner to get the axial cuts...later, we have a diagnosis (and subsequent "repair" plan [uh-oh] ). No fun (for sure), what's funny is that I worked on these system for over a decade (CT, MRI) and am well acquainted with these processes (which actually helps).....

Well,..there you go,..Porsche technicalities, medical technicalities, music technicalities (and, I must say [considering the stress tonight, anticipating tomorrow],..large quantities of some VERY fine Bordeauxs (sedation?) SO: I apologize for any First Growth (mal)impacts...(ahem,...).....

to the family (mostly...)

My best!

Good luck o the back test. I've got two 360 deg fusions L4-5 L5-S1 and 3 other levels of herniated mush in T and C. Just hope it isn't a discogram: the dye/flouroscope test simultaneous with pressurizing the disc to ascertain the full level of damage. 5 discs tested. That, will bring a tear or two to your eyes.

I hope you can deal with this through drugs or therapy, and not a knife. Although, my lumbar procedures were the best decision I've ever made.

I was thinking you're screwed, dude. Head's got to come off, hello machine shop. But, he got some better advice and a helicoil kit and tapped it and helicoiled it without any disassembly using the grease trick to keep metal out of the cylinder. Seemed to work great. Instead of $3000, it was about a $30 repair for a novice.

cervical outcomes are FAR better than the Lumbar engagements (which don't concern me, for now) Unfortunately, one can't rx' those dissectomy approaches within the cervical domain (only lumbar)....far too much anatomical complexity in the cervical area vs lumbar area to "shave" a disc area.

Thanks for good luck, Ed.

ANYWAZE!!! We'll see tomorrow,..for sure, it will come......will report back on the clinical outcome, the results of listening to RUSH postop,..and the upcoming list of Carrera repairs,..all for the "record"...

Best to all!

First Concert .. Farewell to Kings ..... Last Concert not sure.. the one where they had the washers and dryers on stage ... have laxed a little lately ... saw everyone in between. i was a bit put of by the "commercialism" of constant remixes and arrangements to generate revenue without producing anything new ...
.. Vapour trails was a dissapointment and a weak effort after being off for so long .. My favorite headache is definitely worth a listen .. favorite live Song ... Bytor and the Snow Dog ..

Favorite album if i was forced to choose would be moving pictures...
.. and that's all I have to say about that ...

Vapor Trails was great! Remix? You better believe it, as that mastering x engineer SO screwed it up with MASSIVE compression,..it HAD to be fixed due to "technicalities" (well known, in the industry). I love that WEAK doublekick on the opener One Little Vicory announcing "we're back"!!!!! (totally said as a joke....BTW,..as it was massive.

Nothing lax about Snakes and Arrows....album was well done.....I loved the lyrical content too,..and what it "attacks".....content , so true.

No washers, Ice,..just dryers (for warm tone),..R30 tour.

Not to mention the DVDs....if you want to see some action,..just drop in "RUSH in Rio" and tell about that lame crowd?????

I like Bytor,...as I named one of my dogs that! the other is named Geddy Lee.. how sick is that?

MP is my all time fav, too.

Ahhh Rush. R in Rio is an awesome dvd. Have you found the hidden tracks?

I know the medical jargon here as well. After a failed discectomy, I had fusion of l5-s1 like Ed. greatest thing ever. I don't know how I lived through that.

On the Kieth Urban Genre, Rascall Flatts are huge Rush fans. Inside cover art for a couple of their albums has the Guitarist wearing a Signals tour shirt.

I love all things Rush, but the movie "I love you man" was a disgusting disappointment and I am just pissed that the band was even mentioned. I was embarrassed by this aweful movie.

Until later...
