From what I can find there should be a ROW map that would have SA as part of it, the problem is the listing on MIB is incomplete, nothing there just a few bytes when it should be in the GB range.

I hope that we can get you set up with Android Auto on your GT4, great first step actually providing the version shot, and from the blank map database I would assume that the car did NOT come with OEM NAV enabled?

We are experiencing a little trouble with the MIB Solution website so bear with us, so bear with us!

This is the AIO version that you need; MHI2_ER_POG11_K5126_1_AIO_MU1394_20230320.7z

I too am having trouble getting into MIB Solution to confirm the map version for South Africa (could be ER, P370 (2024/2025?).

Legend.
i used this link instead of the master file and it was super easy.
Nav is now working perfectly after using this version.
the way it installed was also very different

Thanks for the help @Westcoast , really appreciate it

Excellent, I am glad that it is now working for you! So is the above map being displayed the one that came loaded on the PCM from the factory, P79_N60S5MIBH3_ROW_NT_Q3.18 ?

I may have spoken to soon.
the maps work immediately after running MIB.
but then after a while a get the attached screen. i think it reverts back to not being activated when my phone connects to the car.

There is a folder called "Backup", if you can get this file to me I can pass it along to the AIO author for a look at what has for log information. I have a feeling that the AIO process did not fully complete.

I have now physically checked it by removing the head unit. My 718 MY 2023 does not have a GPS antenna installed.

Then you have a couple of options, the OEM cable and antenna as discussed in the very early pages of this thread or one of the aftermarket units discussed recently.

Default 2017 Cayenne w/ nav question

Hi,

This thread seems to have almost everything I could want for activating AA on my 2017 Cayenne. Looks like I would have to program the gauge cluster for nav if I didn't have it before after the update, but what if I already have nav in the cluster? Will I have to reprogram it with PIWIS after this update or will it be good to go?

Just looking for Android Auto functionality.

Thanks,
Sal

Hey Sal, welcome to Rennlist!

I am not familiar with the 2017 Cayenne so I don't what hardware version of PCM you have? The updates discussed here refer only to PCM 4.0. If you could share a screen shot of the version information on the PCM screen we can figure out if this process will work for you.

Default Cayenne picture

I can't find where it shows 4.0 or whatever it is, but here's the version screen. Looks just like some of the other pictures I've seen in this thread.

Thank's for the welcome. This is my first Porsche and it's fantastic.

Ahh yes, that is a PCM 4.0 PCM given the firmware and hardware version. I see no reason why you cannot use the AIO update process and after that the NAR OEM NAV map upgrade if you wish.

Please ask questions now, before you start and confirm the AIO version suggested is one of these versions: (MHI2_US_POG11_K5186_1_AIO_MU1476_20220723.7z) or (MHI2_US_POG11_K5186_1_AIO_MU1476_20230318.7z)

Have you studied the process and understand what files you need, SD card(s) and formats etc? I strongly suggest that you take the time to read the first posts in the thread and watch the video of how to do this, as much as it is straight forward, there is a process, and it must be followed and not interrupted.

Yes, I've been reading the thread over and think I have a decent grasp on the process. I guess the only thing I'm concerned about is whether or not I'll have to reprogram the multi function gauge after or if it'll still be programmed, as the car already has nav and multi function gauge nav.

If it is working now it will continue to function after the update.
