In addition, not really a responsive seller, terrible pictures, and less than a detailed state of presentation. So this may be market correct for up north.

I also keep hearing how the 718 Spyder is a "special drivers car" and will probably increase in value and is at the bottom of it's depreciation curve. Isn't it destined for collectibility since the ICE boxster/cayman line is ending? Well all that's true until you go to sell it! I think the LEAST amount of money I've lost on a car at the bottom of its depreciation curve is $10000. Still trying to make friends with this one. The red is growing on me but still........somebody should buy it so I can stop worrying about it.

They might be flexible on price. It's been listed for a month now.

This obsession with price is mind boggling. It keeps you from buying the car or afraid to drive it because it will cost you $$ on resale. With a mindset like that you are not going to enjoy the car for what it was designed for, DRIVING....

I agree. I am thinking about adding a Spyder to my garage at some point. I am the exact buyer you describe. I'd want a manual, heated sofas, and a bright color. I have owned buckets and if I wanted to climb in a difficult seat and drive PDK, I'd just jump in my Clubsport...

Anyone keeping track of new Porsche USA inventory? Believe this are dealer spec allocations so no buyer yet - its how I found mine and it went off once I had a deposit down and the car was in my name. Not sure which stage they start showing up - believe its either lock or manufactured - latter in my case. 4RS availability is there - probably because dealers keep allocations to sell to the highest bidder once they got those in.

I counted 9 GTS 4.0s east of the rockies right now - 3 Caymans, 6 Boxsters, only 2-3 BGTS are actually on lots.

I have a CGTS 4.0 sitting on the dealer's lot waiting for me to take it. It shows on their website as available but, of course, it's really not available. It was supposed to be for Oct ED and ED wasn't available and it arrived way early...and I was not in a hurry for it but I plan to take it, so I don't know how those cars figure into the mix.

Sadly the brand is trending that way with many owners now.

I agree wholeheartedly with this statement. After arriving home last night in my Spyder I got out and stared at it in the garage for a good bit. It is such a fantastic car for $100k. People need to stop wasting time by worrying about ~$5k.

That was about a year ago anywhere outside of the west coast. Assuming you dealt with a decent dealer.

Dealer's website or Porsche USA inventory? I've seen cars show up on the dealer's website that didn't on Porsche USA. And there was one last year that I inquired that wasn't available - showed up on the dealer's site, didn't check the Porsche USA inventory back then.

Except right now dealers are asking $130k-150K for Spyders, most of the time $20k over MSRP, in a market where prices are CLEARLY trending downwards. I'm not sweating $5k if I find a great spec. I'll sweat $20k-$30k.
