I love my GT4, especially after heavily modifying it... but these Caymans are only worth low 100Ks in a 'normal' market, the 4RS only mid 100Ks. They are fun, sporty cars but too many were made and primed for a big price drop.

Nobody ordering a car with that level of customization is at all concerned about any type of resale value.

I assume they did the clear side markers at the parts counter.

I guess it's *possible* the customization was all aftermarket, but the dealership did advertise it as having $270k MSRP (which seems almost unbelievably high; feels like there would have to be way more CXX that I'm not seeing to go 100k over a well-optioned PTS 000 Spyder).

@Lucifer - are your records generally correct for MSRP of CXX cars? I can DM you my VIN if you want to try a spot-check.
Go ahead and DM me the VIN, but I will have its record only if you had TYD enabled

BAT No Reserve Cayman ending tomorrow.

Should be interesting given the NR designation

Yea, I'm watching that one too. It's got about $10k more in options than my car does, and mine is currently cleaner, but otherwise, this is very close to mine. So I'm watching this one for sure. (Not that I plan on selling mine ever since I'm totally in love with it!)

Yeah, GTS seem to bring under MSRP on BAT.

Kudos to seller for NR auction…someone got a seemingly good deal.

We are talking about around 7% deprecation for 18 months of ownership. On a new car. In this economy. I think it is phenomenal.

$95k / $107k = .88 or 11% depreciation, no? I mean, still very good, I agree.

You forgot the original purchase ADM in your calculation

If there was one (I paid under MSRP for my 2022) then that would make the depreciation greater. And no, I'm not counting auction fees, although one could make the argument to include them of course since that's what the buyer paid. But somehow that feels wrong.

It feels right to me. I factor in EVERYTHING it took for me to obtain the asset. I won't pay $100K plus a BAT fee of $5K for something I value at $100K.
