Curious how much of this comes down to cost vs preference though. The cost of the LWBS is a tough pill to swallow and you can have a variety of other options for the same cost. While I do believe most people who purchase these cars could afford the extra cost, I wonder how many people would just rather spec a lot of other options and just have the sport seats. I think for a lot of people the buckets aren't a make or break for them and so it comes down to a cost vs value argument.
Curious how many people would spec the buckets if they were a no cost option.

The above is $14,000.00 dollars US.
The monies as you said could be used for a lot of other Porsche options and that's the way I went.
If the LWB seats were a No-Cost option I think I might have gone for them.
The reason is they look Great !!!
And since my GT4 is nothing but a Sports Car I drive when I choose.
I think I could have Tolerated the Negative issues with the LWB if they were as you said, a No-Cost-Option.

Knowing what I know now about the LWB not being available for the GT4's and below.... I would have added them (free or not) to my build and sold them for a nice profit.
First, they're not comfortable. Secondly I think they look out of place in the 718 cockpit which is too generic (I do like the LWB). I feel they're better suited for the 911 GT models.
For me, the interior is more about form, not function.

Of course I checked it out! Quite the machine. Except I would have spec'd the color differently... I guess choosing an off-grey as a "dealership spec" means it should be easier for them to sell!
But at $100k ADM, I think it'll be there a while... people not even paying that for factory orders!
I checked their website and it's not listed, not sure why...

Completely disagree. First off LWBS are not uncomfortable to me and many of the folks who spec them. I actually find them more comfortable than the sofas because of how they cradle the driver. Secondly, most on this board agree they look great in the 718. (Also the interior of the 991 gen 911 is quite similar to the 718 so I’m not sure as to what’s your point). In the open top Spyder the LWBS add to the overall aesthetic and give it a touch of that 918 panache.
Afaic, LWBS, PCCBs and PDLS+ are the most highly desired options for good reason. And I personally wouldn’t pay over $125k for any Spyder that did not have all of those options.

Assuming this is still the thread to talk about new inventory GT4/Spyders...anyone know what Porsche Rocklin or Livermore are asking for the Spyders they seem to have on their lots right now?

In reference to the sofa seats, for my Spyder, I chose sofas for 2 reasons:
- Heated seats: I live in the cold Northeast. So, I needed heated seats to extend the top down driving season to include the early spring and late autumn. The heated seats are mandatory for me for a convertible in the Northeast. Unfortunately, the heated seat option is not available with the LWBS.
- Wife factor: This trumps all. I have buckets in my 911, and my wife refuses to ride in the 911. She finds the buckets uncomfortable. She really enjoys tooling around with me in our convertible with sofa seats.
I do agree that the LWBS look great and are a desirable option for resale, if one is buying for someone else. However, I purchase all of my Porsches for myself and my own preferences and not for the next Porsche owner.
As for my LWBS, initially, I found them uncomfortable. The Sparco lumbar spine cushion inserts are a great inexpensive fix. After putting these in, I find the LWBS fine as a driver. However, I do not like to sit in the LWBS as a passenger. After a while, I find the upright position uncomfortable as a passenger, but not as the driver. I will need to look into the TrakSpec seat recliner brackets to tilt the seats back into a more comfortable position, especially helpful with a race helmet.
I like the Spyder Classic Interior Package. The burgundy/black leather/race-tex interior appears almost like a special order exclusive interior at a $2,800 upgrade option.
Just my opinion.

This is the 4RS @ Annapolis. Green was much less intrusive than I thought it would be. When did they get rid of the sub-belt pass through in the sport buckets? Drivers seat has one, but not the passenger seat. Is this the case with all fixed-back buckets? 3D printed seat is softer than the buckets in my old 987R, but its been ~ 9 years since I was in those seats. Still comfortable. White-gold wheels look great, but I'd prefer them on Guards red.
ADM on the car (i.e., the literal sticker) is 100K, and they said they rejected a 50K over offer, but I have no other info. on that deal (trade-in etc.). They said they want to sell local so they can see it at cars and coffee, and for the eventual trade in.
Go get her boys.

With supplies up to pre-pandemic levels and interest rates only going up how is the car industry not headed for a bust? Heck you can get a Bentley Continental GT in some markets at Invoice!
