The door handle only works to close the top. The door handle can’t be used to open the top.

Update: I enabled all of these settings and the roof mechanism would not work at all. I had to go into V/English and "automatic code" the front and rear electronics and it started working again. Back to square one. I wonder if it is because I did this with the engine running and the sensor/ECU got confused? Or if it's a bad idea to enable all of these all at once. Will try again once I have a power supply, a little weary to program at 12.6V.

Note that on my 718 two of the five codes did not require changing.

General question: I have an April ‘24 GTS 4.0, EU spec.
Car is currently at the detailer for Xpel, straight from the Porsche dealer.
Is there a minimum Piwis version required to code this car?
I have access to a friend’s Piwis 3 v41.600 with engineering mode, but don’t want to mess things up due to a to old Piwis version.

No easy way to get this. You can capture your simulation data before making any changes and compare with your actual data. When you run PIWIS in simulation mode, you are looking at captured data preloaded. You can also run a VAL before and after coding. Another option is to Auto Code each module and see what changes were made but that means you will need to recode what you wanted. I would only run Auto Code as a last resort. It is important that you document all the changes made with some screenshot or video. A cool feature in PIWIS 3 is that you can record your coding session.

Yeah I agree with Larry. Time is money for them. Almost all of the new cars that I coded had some errors and warnings. They could have cleared the errors but they did not. Same with cars out of repair. A few had the AC unit replaced and still had errors.

Stories I've heard are that the dealers will do anything to void warranties. eg, a guy was told his headline lens PPF voided warrantee, even tho it was dealer installed, lol. Another because he lowered his car

My dealership offered to do some more coding for me recently. They ended up trying and failed because they didn't have a PIWIS 3 - they had the 4 - and said they could not get into any of the screens I showed them to make changes... I then took the car to the indi shop that did all my original coding and they said that there was some update with the PIWIS system and could not get into the developer mode on any of the cars they'd been trying to.. said it was a wide spread issue after some software update on the PIWIS side? I may not be conveying this correctly but all to say - they could not do any more coding for me - they would let me know once the issue is resolved. Anyone else experience anything similar?

Tried and documented some stuff like disable auto-hold and enable auto-memory (have this in my 981, is disabled in the 718).
No issues, but this morning date of the car suddenly was completely wrong (year was 2079).
Reset date and time and now I have service warning when I start the car. Very strange.
Car drives perfectly normal. Did not readout error log yet.
Anybody already had this issue?
