haha - I was like wow he typed his V dates into an excel sheet lol. My SA gave me about 3 printouts with updated dates all shifted by a week at a time....hopefully you have excel set up so it cascades dates in week increments LOL

Yea, I have "a file" on every special car I've ever owned. This file is staring pre-conception - during the courtship phase! I hope to have some good screen shots of the ship coming over and stuff like that. It won't be as good as some manufacturers who often send pics of the car being built, or of Corvette who used to let you come down to the factory and be the first one to start the car before it even leaves the line! (they give you a birth certificate when you do that). And my friend's new C8, he bought a photo book (for $700) with pics of his car being built all down the line. It's VERY cool. Almost makes it worth $700! LOL
But I suspect Porsche is not like that.

Porsche does offer a photobook. I ordered it but unfortunately the gal that was responsible for the pictures and photobook passed away unexpectedly and so the last I heard from PAG was that all orders underway were on hold until further information is relayed and no new photobook orders will be accepted. It was over 3 months ago so this has prompted me to follow up to see if this will materialize or not.

I have an expected production start date of 23 July as well so I share your concerns. Unexpectedly though, my SA informed me today that my BGTS went into production yesterday —three days ahead of schedule! Not sure why some drop back and others accelerate but hoping yours gets going as well so we can beat the break!
Does anyone know when they resume production? Is it the 1st or 3rd of September? My build is supposed to enter production on the 3rd, although my lock date was the 19th.
Also, can someone explain the difference between the lock date and fixed date?

Strange update on my build. Curious if anyone else has seen this. My GT4 went V300 6/30. Since then, everything has been ahead of schedule and it boarded a boat on 7/19 to San Diego. Arrival and exit date in SD is also improved by a couple of weeks from 8/27 to 8/13. So the car should arrive at the dealership earlier too, no? Apparently not, Dealer Inventory date moved OUT *3 weeks* from 9/10 to 10/1.
Is there a CARB cert delay on '22s? This is what my SA suggested, but it seemed like just speculation. Or maybe this is related to rail shipping logistics?

Zhao, You might want too check in with your SA for an update. Our BGTS 4.0 was also scheduled to start on July 30 but when I checked with my SA this morning I was pleasantly surprised to find out it entered body shop on the 14th, 2 weeks earlier than we expected! ... hopefully this means we'll beat the August shutdown.

I sent an email to follow up with PAG and will report back once I hear anything. My SA didn't know much about it. I found out such a thing existed from RL and asked my Exclusive Advisory about it. You fill out a form and submit directly to PAG. Your SA can help but it's not really part of their sales process as it's more of an Exclusive thing.

FWIW, I've also been told by my SA that '22's may not be not be released for sale until October due to EPA certification.
