Does anyone know if allocations come with pre-determined dates? For example, @md4dna got his V200 allocation yesterday. It seems a little long (removing August for vacation shutdown) until he's V250 lock date. That seems long. Then a week to build and 2 months till delivery seems ok.

Now, if I get my V200 tomorrow as I'm hoping, will my dates automatically be after his, or did my dealer get an allocation with a pre-determined set of dates?

I was also offered another allocation from another SoCal dealer two days ago with the same delivery date. I know this is not an answer to your question, but maybe that's whassup with the current allocation window??

Yes, the lock dates can vary, but if you are V70 and hoping to move to V200, you will likely have a long lock date.

Now if you happen to run into an allocation that has already been made, then it can be shorter. If you stumble into a dealership that already has a V200, it could be days until it locks. I had one where somebody bombed out of the build and I picked it up with two weeks until it locked. Start to delivery was two months.

That is helpful. Mine is V200 with a September build date. So I guess it should go V250 relatively soon?

Mine goes V250 next week and builds August 30. Yes, maybe not until after hiatus depending when in September yours will be built. Your build looks like you are done, though, so probably no worries for you.

It goes into body shop on 8/30? The cars seem to take 7 days to build. Does anyone know when exactly they close the factory? One would think they would not close down with cars partly completed.

Haha this is hilarious!

I live ~1 hour away from the port where my car will be offloaded so I am planning to go for a drive to watch it come into port. Not sure ill be able to get a view of it coming off the boat but ill take the telephoto lens with me and see if I can snap a sneak peek!

I can confirm that 2022 production has started before their August factory vacation begins on 7/31. My 2022 GT4 is scheduled to go in the body shop (V260) on 7/23 and is scheduled for completion (V300) on 7/30. Estimated arrival in Houston port is 9/10. Fortunately I seem to have caught the last possible completion day before vacation. Whew!

Cars that begin production at a certain point last week in July will be paused during Factory shutdown for about 3 weeks. This happened to my 981. It went to body shop just before shut down. Completed production 1 month later because of shutdown. One could get a build tracking update from SA a week after scheduled build date to see if it’s off to the port before shutdown. 3 week swing for delivery to east coast just based on production timeline… 1 week versus 1 month.

Were there any changes to the 2022 model year in either features or price?
