Well, yesterday I found out that my car had been shipped from port. Today I got a text message with a picture of my car at the dealership! After a scramble to wire the money before the same-day processing deadline, I picked up my GT4! Seeing it in person was incredibly satisfying and also a relief because you never quite know how something will look IRL compared to the configurator or online pics. Can’t wait to put some miles on!!
I have to tell you, I was just sitting down to my computer to start my work day thinking to myself "I think I'll look at some pictures of my future car," when all of a sudden, THIS baby popped up. I'm the one green now! WOW! This one looks fantastic on the screen and I can only imagine what it looks like IRL.

I was just told that my MY22 BGTS heading to Port of San Diego is also affected by the TPMS shortage. Hopefully it is only a matter of a week or so like you mentioned!
When is your car set to arrive in San Diego? Any idea which boat it's on? My MY22 CGTS arrived in Emden last week on it's way to San Diego as well. I'll check in with my SA regarding the TPMS shortage too ... did he see this in the system somehow?

SA can see details like TPMS on the online ordering system. My car was flagged with the TPMS issue.
Tomorrow will mark 3 full weeks in production, but the good news is that I have a VIN so it's real!
That's great progress Dan! At least they aren't just pulling your leg haha. I reached out to my SA yet again today to see what the heck is going on. I'm hoping, like you that it was just slow to get entered in or will at least have some sort of update. Good news is that it's still showing 9/3 for production....bad news is...it's still showing 9/3 for production haha.
EDIT: I just got notified from my SA I went V260, she is being built as we speak.

I've gotten word from my SA that my GT4 has loaded on the Siem Cicero and is expected to depart Emden tomorrow. Woohoo! Fortunately it appears to be sailing straight to Houston.
Hopefully the cars for many others here made it on that ship too.
I notice that it took one month + six days to get through production, although with their three week vacation that turns into 13 days in production.

Right, so I guess the VIN is in another area of the dealership program. I texted my SA that others on RL had their VIN when production started, so he found mine in an area that they don't commonly access. I entered the VIN and sales and order information in the "My Porsche" app. We will see if my request is approved. The app responded that it can take up to five days for approval.

Congrats! Just found out my 9/10 production date has slipped to 10/8. Bummer.
I just heard from my SA that my GT4 entered the body shop today one week late and delivery slipped one week as well to 10/29. Progress is a nice thing to see.
The reason I guessed it it was coming to Houston is its ETA is "only" 3 weeks but I could certainly be wrong about that. We'll see the destination get updated when it sails. It would certainly make sense for it to stop somewhere on the East Coast along its way here.
Fortunately, the Siem Plato is also in port in Emden and it also has a history of going to Baltimore. Between the two ships its pretty likely your car will get on the continent pretty soon.

Last year the boat my Spyder was on, Mediterranean Highway, departed Emden on 26 Sept and docked Houston 16 Oct. It stopped Halifax, Davisville, and I think Jacksonville before arriving Houston.
Once it sails you can get updated port info. They're in/out ports in a day or so.
So I got this email today out of the blue, very exciting!
Interesting as I previously thought this was only available on the 911 and for Canada or some other parts of the world but not USA. It seems maybe now it's available in US as I see your location tag is NY and clearly you're not buying a 911.
