Thanks to any with an answer.
I'm in the same boat, but there seems to be a lot of movement all of a sudden - allocations, build dates, etc. wahoo! I'm expecting good news any day.

Just secured a V200 build for September and December delivery for a Spyder.

Here is the build. Anything I screwed up on? This is my first Porsche and I cant wait. I will be getting rid of my RS6 in a few months.

Maybe but depends on needs and wants. Kids are grown and out of the house so not so much of a need for a big car. Wife has an SQ5 and I also have a Tacoma so we have enough utility. Now for something a bit more fun.

The RS6 was a bucket list car that I had to get. I paid MSRP and received the RS6 last November. Its been a great fun car with tons of tech and luxury but I want something a bit more light and driver focused.

Spyder build looks amazing to me. I am not a fan of black wheels but in this case I think it'll work perfectly.

Non-refundable..... not at MSRP... no guarantees on an allocation timeline. Who'd ever do that deal? A non-refundable deposit with an open ended timeline makes no sense.

No, that's really not normal. Getting on a wait list less than a month ago and them thinking you might have one at the end of the month is definitely out of the ordinary. I think most people who go on lists wait 6-12 months unless they spam dealerships until they find one iwth an open allocation.

Wait, I'm afraid I might be misinterpreting what you are saying. I am just talking about getting an allocation i.e. a firm purchase order with a firm place in the future build list, and then getting the car some 6 months or so later. Are you talking 6-12 months for an allocation or a car? Forgive my confusion.

Thanks! I am not usually a fan of black either. I tried the silvers and just didn't fit as well to my eye with this color.

What he's saying is that putting yourself on a waitlist to getting a firm allocation could take up to 6 months. I'd say reality is somewhere in between. If you're first in line, it could be 1 or 2 months at a larger dealer. If it's a small dealer and you're a few people down, it could be 6+ months. I would confirm with your dealer if you are first in line for an allocation or not. Also do you have a V070 order demand in?

Wow, that's a bummer. I didn't realize the wait was so long just for an allocation. Not sure what the V070 is or how to check. I did go to the dealer personally where the salesperson filled out a build sheet and gave me a printout with a PN- number PN455DY6 and an Order no. 982360. Is that a V070? Also, I did reach out yesterday and the salesperson confirmed I am number one on their list. Supposedly I was moved ahead of 1 other because I have 2 prior purchases from them.

If you have that Commission Number, then looks like you have V070. Also since you're first in line, it probably won't be too long. I'm guessing it'll happen before Porsche closes in August, or right after they re-open in September.

what moiz main said. Things may change in the future at any time, but it's very difficult to buy anything right now. A gt3 is over a 2 year wait at the dealer I use to go v200 so it could be much much worse.

My timeline for reference for a BGTS was V070 Nov 21,2020. V200 (allocation confirmed) March 1,2021. And exit production June 25,2021. Car due to arrive Port of Halifax (1st Port in North America deliveries) tomorrow July 17. So about 4 month wait for allocation for GTS and I was on multiple dealer lists, they all called me within an hour of each other for allocation, allocations seem to all come out at same time. GT car likely longer

Yeah.

He was pissed. Probably explains why there was only one other person on the list.

Any recommendations on good dealers to call? He's in Northern, UT but willing to go just about anywhere.

V300 yesterday and got my VIN! Anyone know if I can start tracking my car? Anything I can do with the VIN? Kind of annoying that Porsche USA doesn't give us the same tracking abilities that Canadians and 992 owners get. With a picture from the build line and stuff. I just want to see what shark blue on a 718 looks like already!!
