My car was due at the dealer today, but alas it will be delayed with the engine recall (boy it’ll be nice not thinking about that at some point LOL). Nevertheless, I remain hopeful for the car I spent countless hours specifying. A very lightly spec’d Cayman in the unpopular racing yellow
Here’s the configurator shots and the only one like my spec that I’ve been able to find on the internet. I’ve got a 4.0 badge from @Bob Z. coming for the back, a winter wheel package, custom mustang license plate holder, side markers and if my wife hadn’t told me to stop I’d probably have a titanium exhaust rear section sitting in the dinning room
I’m told it will be worth the wait.

When your GTS finally gets released you have to join us! Believe me, your car will be totally worth the wait.

I’m very much looking forward to that! Hopefully it won’t be October by the time I get it LOL, and I have joined the local club.

DIS295, see that you're a fellow Pennsy guy, i'm in Philly suburbs, how about you? lol, i'm too paranoid to say the specific dealer in case this gets back to them.
DYIM, i'd say its an average spec. approx. US$107k --- adv green/gts interior and most of the upgrades, except for carbon brakes, pdk and burmester. Thank you for showing me that tracking website, i'll be asking for the same info today from salesman. Is that tracking system something you have access too, or does your salesman send you the screenshot? If you had login credentials from the time you put deposit down, i'll really start feeling like a sucker here!
p.s. if this goes sideways for me i'll be happy to share the dealer info.

Show your dealer you are educated and give them heck!

The order number jives with what he gave me back in November so he didn't wait to place order. My understanding is that a commission number indicates an allocation and the V170 code also indicates i have an allocation as well.
Now for the V170 code thats a little odd. It seems that a V170 comes AFTER a V200 and is used if a change is made or if there is a custom option and PAG has to process. I'm assuming that this could be used to put the order into the holding pen while the recall is hashed out, since i have no custom options.
In a perfect world the salesman would have walked me through all this, but I'll look on the bright side and say that hunting around the web and forums is helping pass the time!
Also test drove Miatas yesterday....fun car.

I'm in Bucks county myself --- love a GT Silver Porsche, in fact a couple of months ago there was a BGTS in GT Silver and manual on the lot in Conshohocken --- went down to buy it and poof it was gone.

OK, so I took your advice, asked for printout of his screen showing the hold (he had said he had it on his screen when i last talked to him) and he sent me the build sheet (attached below). Based on some research, it seems what he has been saying is confirmed and my paranoia about the dealer is not really warranted, so thankfully i haven't gotten pissy with him. Their communication does suck though.

We are in uncharted territory here, COVID and stop sale together possibly impacting production.
Here is some explanation of V status I pulled from another forum. I believe it is accurate.
CT is custom tailoring after production.

My Spyder delivery is this Wednesday at 8:30 am at PEC LA; I am excited to say the least. I will post a few pictures of the event. Its GT Silver, classic interior, black top, silver wheels. Not too original but it should be gorgeous.

Waiting for GTS 4.0
I placed an order for a GTS 4.0 in early February with a lock date of April 28 and delivery date of July 23. Those dates had remained unchanged until I spoke with my SA last week. When he checked the Porsche tracking system, my order showed no lock date but with a delivery date changed to July 31. He wasn't sure whether that meant that my vehicle was still scheduled for production as originally planned but with a slightly later delivery date or whether my order time frame was being changed to the stop order situation. If anyone else has a lock date in April or May, what have you been able to find out as to whether our orders are being delayed or not? Thanks.

I am afraid I am the one that been waiting for the longest time! Last year Sept I totalled my 2.5 GTS. I originally flipping the coin between GTS 4.0 or GT4 as a replacement, I love the aggressive looks of GT4 but hate GT4 didn't come with memory seat which is kind of a must for me. However, the salesman discourage me for the GT4 since a very long waiting list. And he promise I can have the GTS 4.0 allocation of Jan 2021 build and car will arrive in March.
So I placed my GTS 4.0 order in 2020 Sept. Back in Jan, dealer told me my allocation is delayed and pushed to a March build and then few weeks later, I was told another delay again and will pushed to May build. I told him, I am really upset and is thinking of talking to another dealer. Then a few days later he called me that they have a May GT4 allocation available so I hop on it.
During end of March, Porsche updated their 2022 configurator and then suddenly memory seat being included for the 18 way option. So I called my salesman and asked for confirmation and also email to Porsche Canada. Both told me it is true. So I made a very tough decision to give up the 2021 allocation and move to 2022 allocation and will be a Jan 2022 build. When I was so exciting then found out that "memory seat" option on GT4 sounds like a mistake for Canadian market. Everywhere in the world didn't have this option so very unlikely Porsche only offer this to Canadian market. So seems like I made a big mistake now! Since my invoice did printed memory seat is included so once my car arrive next spring, I will bug them as much as I can to compensate my extra wait that caused by their misleading info.
Anyway after my long rant, this is my build
