So not cooler but relatively the same temp as the OE with shieldling and the outside temp was higher too when we measured the Kline

Temperature outside
59 deg when tested stock
74 deg when tested w Kline SS OAP + Rear Valvetronic

We have another 718 4.0 car coming into do an inconel system. Will be measuring it too. We will try to do it in the afternoon so the ambient temp is the same for before and after
Thanks for sharing...Would Kline take OAP(Inconel) back to apply the shield on them? if yes, how much would be included the shipping?
no interest in Jethot...I don't think they really worth the cost or effective as a metal shield.

Absolutely an option. Please shoot an email to eric@supremepower.com and I’d be happy to get you all the info.

I have the Kline SS with just the OAP's shielded. Prior to that I have the OEM system and then Soul R-OAPs with JetHot.

On both the OEM & coated ROAPs I really noticed the heat resonating near the rear wheel after a spirited drive. I can't say I notice it much with the shielded Kline.

As to whether shielding is necessary or not, I don't know, but I'd rather have it than not. I must say I am somewhat on the fence as to effectiveness of JetHot/ceramic treatments vs shielding. Also, you gotta ask why top manufacturers such as Akra, JCR only sell shielded.

Shielding also offers a performance benefit. On a tuned 4.0, I'd say it is certainly the way to go.

I have the KLINE setup arriving tomorrow, and I plan to install the moment it arrives (no headers, yet).

Any tips or tricks to teh install from those who have done this already (using OEM tips)?
I did the OAP install on my own with no issue, but I want to make sure there aren’t any random hardware bits I should have on hand, or if any of you ran into tricky sections during your installs that you can make me aware of.

I plan to keep the valves completely open.. I assume I can put the same collar sizes used on my PSE on the KLINE?

View my post above for edits to 911maniac's guide. I just installed mine not too long ago.

Nahhh.. I’m an all or nothing kind of guy.
I can always add a controller later, but I doubt this will ever happen, and I currently run valves wide open all the time with no issues.

How do the Kline owners feel about the valved tone transition? Any merit to collars on this system or happy as is?

I’d say it is the same as stock to my ear - depending on the throttle it can sound abrupt. I was going to try the collars but I like the valves closed sound so much that I’m going to skip it. Too bad they couldn’t spring the valves so it took a second or so to open, that would smooth it out. Maybe we need a spring mod now haha.
