Question: sorry if I missed this, but are the collars the same size used with the OEM valves?
glad they were useful, many helped me before I took the plunge!…. I have a few km’s on the collar mod now and it definitely makes a big difference even in the most conservative setting…

For those that have done the install themselves, how necessary is it to remove the rear wheels? I'm wondering if I could get away with doing this on a 4 post lift. Otherwise, will drag out the quickjacks.

i asked the same question about a month ago. It is absolutely necessary to remove the rear wheels.

The oap to the header connection is pretty tight on space even with the wheel removed

I’ve done it twice now and can’t imagine not having the rear wheel off. The part I wrestle with the most, but far, is the flap with the two torx bolts that connects to the transmission. That piece is an absolute bitch on mine, not sure if it is the geometry or what, but make sure you’re within 1/4” of alignment for those bolts before you tighten the OAP and rear section together, also a vice grip on the flap is a good trick I learned from @westcoast to help clamp it together and get it to stay in place so you can see where you’re at, and also on mine I had to tighten the hangers right to max to get it into place.

I have very limited experience wrenching on cars, and did it twice so I’m sure anyone can do it.

Thanks all! I don't think I'd even consider doing it myself if not for all the details/tips shared here. Will see how it goes

Ya, I sort of felt the same. It takes me a long time, but the time I get the car on the lift etc. I need 6 hours but I’m not really rushing, just trying to be very careful and methodical.

I had a second set of hands that stepped in to assist a little here and there, and it took me 2 hours, including the 20 minute full wipe down with WD-40 to get all my grimy prints off the system. I’d say you’re looking at 3 hours or so if you do it on your own. Just make sure to soak all the bolts in advance - this will save some time, and grief while you second guess the DIY.

Best of luck, and looking forward to hearing how much you enjoy your decision

Question to those who installed DIY. Mine is slightly off alignment horizontally by 1/2". Kline said because wasn't tightened left/right in a progressive manner, swapping sides as it was tightened down. My car is going in tomorrow for gearbox removal and i have a chance to rectify the alignment. I have new gaskets provided by Kline too, as they said the current ones would be no good now that alignment is off and best to use fresh gaskets. Any other tip to get aligned correctly would be appreciated??
