SOUL Resonated OAP only sounds quite good. While the Kline full exhaust is far more to my taste, I would make damn sure I want that sound difference before switching.

Jim, the system only comes with the back box and OAP - you can't just do one. Designing the two pieces together, as it turns out, was a very wise move for Kline.
Thank you! I bought a USED Kline Inconel OAP/Back Box system that was removed from another 718 Spyder that was being traded-in on a 718 Spyder RS. I'm having the Kline system installed next week at Porsche of Nashville by Nick Gwozdz, their shop foreman and a 22-year Gold Level mechanic. I've had the SOUL ceramic-coated resonated OAP's (ONLY) installed for a year now and absolutely LOVE THE SOUND (and the fact they produce ZERO DRONE). If anybody would like to listen to the Kline Inconel system please feel free to stop by after the install. I'd be happy to give you a demo. I'll be selling my SOUL Ceramic-Coated Resonated OAP's if anybody is interested. They're in near-new condition. Please PM me here on Rennlist with any questions.

WTF, wrapping on a $8k exhaust system. Rather do it properly and get them ceramic coated.
Show of hands please: How many people who've installed the Kline Inconel or Kline Stainless Steel system have paid to have ceramic coating professionally installed on their system? Photos please.
Thank You!

Or heat shielded. I also find it odd trying to cut costs on a $8000 exhaust system

We do try to keep both materials for the Kline OAP + Rear Valvetronic in stock at all times for you guys. For info/ordering: sales@supremepower.com
Do you recommend The Kline Inconel or Kline Stainless Steel systems be professionally ceramic coated prior to installation? Do you recommend the Kline Inconel or Kline Stainless Steel system be supplemented with heat-shielding prior to installation?

They were not coating things back in the day. You can order it wrapped now from Kline, but a bit of pain to send it out for a wrap that is expensive or send it in for the real ceramic coat. You will get it on your car and just run for a while. Make sure you like it and then you can take off the OAP in the garage and send it for some form of insulation in like January and remount for the long term after that. Just a thought IMHO.

I assumed that the previous owner wrapped those? That wrap won't last. It just traps moisture underneath and isn't very effective. I'm in the camp that the OAP's need heat shielding or ceramic coating, but don't want to start that debate again
IMO, postpone install and send the OAP section to have JetHot coating. Set and forget. Just check that you can actually JetHot/ceramic inconel.

Hey Jim - I did, but pretty sure I was the first customer at SupremePower that had ever gone that direction.

I am sure Eric will tell you that less that 1% of his customers go this route. I am also guessing he's going to tell you that you don't need it.
The car is significantly cooler after spirited runs now - the heat shielding contributes to that, at least for my own sanity and peace of mind. As hot as these things get, I was afraid of melting something if the exhaust didn't have the shielding.
Now, there's some debate on whether the shielding has any impact on the sound of the exhaust or not, but that's a different topic altogether.
