No, but these were the Euro option only. https://rennlist.com/forums/parts-ma...gt3-rails.html

They are no longer available due to lack of height adjustment... they prevent shorter and taller customers from use.

And as there are no normally sized people in USA anymore, you cannot have them buckets!

As a legal immigrant to the US I am deeply offended by that remark.

Indeed, hence why would the old buckets otherwise still bye available in Germany and other countries as wel. In a Carrera T or GTS, they let you keep the rear seats because they're foldable.

I put a smiley in the title to indicate that my response was a joke, as well. Totally chilled!

I did a bit of digging and, I think, figured out where I went wrong. I've sat in the LWBs in 997 and 987 form. At the time I didn't realize that they were indeed the folding-backrest LWBs. Further it seems that - in the US - only folding-backrest LWBs were available in 9*7s while both folding-backrest and fixed LWBs where available in Europe.

So, I'm left with the impression that PAG has never simultaneously offered both styles of LWBs in the US while both have been available in Europe from time-to-time.

Not that I think realistically I'm getting one, but this is my GTS build. The reasons to get a new GTS to replace the yellow car are (1) new car; (2) 4.0 vs. 3.4; (3) green is the new yellow; and (4) deviate leather stitching that wasn't available when I ordered the yellow car. These four reasons would cost me about $15,000 each and that hardly seems worth it and after my shelter-in-place is over we'll see if the stock market would even allow me such frivolities. But, it's fun to dream while sheltering-in-place......

I like your build very much. Mine would be quite similar but in gentian blue with PDK. I don't know if the black brushed aluminum trim is going to be available in the US.

Thanks!

Regarding the color, while we were sheltering-in-place, the missus and I were watching a movie; the lead female role complained about middle aged men "buying ridiculous yellow Porsches." I'm not middle aged--well past it. And the color is ridiculous. But that's it's beauty. Same with the green. Don't get me wrong, gentian blue is very nice. But it's not ridiculous. It's nice. I look for nice in my spouse, children, friends. Not car colors. For that, please give me ridiculous!

Is it just me or does the 718 4.0 look like it uses the 981 Spyder wheels?

It is not, you are totally correct. My 10-year old 987S is meteor grey and I am looking for something different: carrara, chalk, dolomite and gentian are my top choices. Would love to have mexico or riviera blue, but (1) it is going to be my only car - no Alpinas in my garage regretfully , (2) I just cannot pull off a vivid Porsche in the hospital parking lot, where some coworkers are driving Mazda 3s and beat-up old pickup trucks.

Hope you understand.
