They called my wife's number by mistake. Anyone ever have this happen? I'm still new at marriage.

"Hah! It means you ordered a $six figure car and didn't even tell me. What else don't I know?????".

Is there any chance this was before you met?

Deposits on Porsches should be covered under HIPA.

After further thought, the appropriate response to this is: “Yes! And it’s for you!”

I’m also reminded that it can work in reverse:
Me: Hello?
Dealer: Hi, I’m calling to let you know that <insert wife’s name> Z06 has arrived.
Me: Her what?

While we’re waiting, does anyone know if Porsche is bringing over the factory installed PPF to US 718s?

Great question! I'm so ordering it if they do. I'm planning ED for mine so that would make life so much easier.

Yup, that's what I'm thinking of doing as well, although apparently there are mixed reviews of the factory PPF install?

I read that they just outsource it to some local (Germany) installers. I'm doing mine locally once I get my car.

Any pics/comments/threads from people who have done the factory PPF? If it's a decent job, would be a great idea to have it done at the factory for European delivery, especially for longer stays.

The factory installed PPF does seem a bit pricey, but if you are going to drive it over there b4 shipping here, it might still be a good idea. Haven't been there in decades, so not sure how much gravel you might run into on the roads there. Road rash used to be pretty common in Germany.
