Guys, there's an error on the Porsche configurators (UK, DE, others) that identify the green as "Python Green."

It's actually called Phyton Green.

Phyton, not Python.

The 981 GT4 was available in PTS. I almost bought a gorgeous 981 GT4 in Viper Green. The cost was ~ $5,500 not the ~ $11,000 on the 718 configurator.

The 718 GT4 doesn't have it, so unlikely the GTS will have it.

Really? I heard AP say it does in the Carfection interview when the GT4 launched. Who says it doesnt have it? I missed that part. Bummer

AP did say the GT4 has it in that interview, but there's a thread in the 718 GT4 forum were an owner tries it and it doesn't work.

For me the problem is that for the price of a new gts 4.0 you can get the 981 gt4, so i just can´t decide if i want a new pcar or the 981 gt4
What will be faster th new gts 4.0 or the gt4 981?
I dream with a gt4 for some time now but this gts is playing with my mind

That situation will only get better when the new 718 GTS, GT4 and Spyders start landing here in Australia.
People on carsales are asking ridiculous money for 981 GT4s and GTSs. These people seem unaware the bubble has burst, and unsurprisingly, overpriced cars are just sitting there, unsold.
One clown is asking 215k (they were 189,900 base when new). His car has been sitting unsold for months.
I'll be pouncing on one when the prices drop.
There's going to be some great value buying out there toward the end of this year...

I believe based on the various recent reviews of the GTS 4.0, it'll be faster in acceleration than the 981 GT4, but don't know anything yet about lap times. If you're deciding between the 981 GT4 or a GTS 4.0, I think the deciding factor would be whether you want a track oriented car that has GT suspension or a touring car where you have more comfort and design choices but without the wing or aggressive styling. If you want a "sleeper" (not sure I'd call any Cayman a sleeper by traditional definitions), then the GTS 4.0 is the way to go. The GT4 will probably get more noticed.
