you’re making money really!

if I’m lucky enough to get an allocation I wonder if I’ll end up pulling back on pts/pccbs at this rate. I was at 180k+ for my spec. 200k seems like a lot for a cayman.

even though it’s better than a gt3.

Yeah, the 4rs (minus the always absurd WP) is a great deal, IMO, even with the MY bump.

Its a fantastic deal - GT3 engine and 991.2 GT3 RS gearbox in a package that is 30% less than either of the above - what a great proposition.

Just to be OCD, it may share some GT3 RS gear ratios but the gearbox is totally different (and doesn’t include the 911’s PTV+ differential).

The resulting gearing is even significantly shorter than GT3 RS (partly due to smaller rear wheels/tires). Love the gearing! Just wish they partnered the option of a short/close ratio 6M also…

That "extra short" PDK gearing might be enough to make a PDK acceptable in the spyder "rs", if it gets the same gearing. Then you can really bang through the gears. Not nearly as fun as a 6MT, but getting closer.

They did with a padded rollbar in the M3 GTS...

I think Porsche's policy has to do with fear of legal liability, not regulatory compliance...
