Thanks pfbz, I'm good at waiting.
My ten year younger first wife eventually was my age, then I called *her* old.

Comical? Looking at how wheel weight affects performance, I fail to see what's comical. Go drive two Pistas, one with CF wheels and one with alloys. The difference is noticable to say the least.

A car like the GT4RS which will see a lot of track, deserves to be light. First thing I'll do is to swap an AG battery in there.

My `half a pencil' is leaving the 116506 in the kitchen, and timing my laps with the 116520.

The optional battery in the GT3 is a lithium. That's why it is more expensive. I was told that the GT4RS comes with an AGM and that it fits the same batteries as the GT4 etc. No lithium option for the GT4RSas far as I know.

From posts on RL the std battery is Lithium as well in the GT3

Whats your point? If you are so concerned about weight put less gas in the tank, loose weight, replace the heavy weight items, etc.

Since I plan to track it my money will go toward a nice set of Forgelines with sticky tires and spare the OEM forged ones the track abuse...should still have some cash left from not choosing the WP Mag wheels and add a few other light goodies.
I do have to say that IMO the optional Mag wheels are the better looking wheel but I can live with the "standard" wheels

Ohhhh noooo.....this confirm that it has the same crappy tone as the GT4, at least on idle......I see more exhaust upgrades in the future.

Did I say anything about wheels/unsprung weight? And does the RS offer CF wheels?

The funniest is listening to fat guys talk about the 25 lbs they saved by spending $15k on bling blang.

LOL Yup. Way cheaper to lose that extra 30 pounds off the old gut.

Yup, same crappy tone here. But did the car with GPF all have some kind of similar note?

The problem are not the GPF, it's how the muffler is designed.....

I gotta be honest....having just picked up my new GT4....I'm wavering on the RS. I like the more aggressive look.....and of course the Engine is a big deal. But subtract out the -R compound tires and realistically around Road Atlanta or Barber I'm not sure this is fast enough to justify the big jump in price. The suspension more or less being the same......is a huge limiting factor.
