That's just insane! when pushing $300k, we're talking about a completely different echelon of cars with far higher capabilities than the 4RS

I told my dealer I'm happy to wait until next year to get the car. Besides, I want tuners to come up with mods for the car by the time I have the car.

Wow! I was just making a speculating comment. It's not life changing event for me and I am not in worried or crying about it at all. I have a 991.2 3 RS that I bought/configured new and have over 21,500 miles. Best car I've ever owned. Would be happy if that was my last GT car ever. However, we enthusiasts are always looking... ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

One thing seems certain, Porsche has succeeded in attracting high wealth individuals to these cars. Before I don't think as many were interested in GT cars, but now the level of hype is so high that they want in, and they're willing to pay. Sucks for the less wealthy enthusiast in many ways, but it's also a part of the reason resale values are so high.

This is true, and one would think this would mean that only the truly price-insensitve (and impatient) customer would pay a markup that high. The question then becomes, how many of that type of customer are interested in this car? And for how long? A whale might be willing to pay $100k over to be first on the block, but are they gonna write that same check a year later?

Maybe that's what they'll do with these cars for a year or two until they get bored with them and trade them in. Some of those folks can afford to pay wayyy over, then take a bath on trade-in, so all they're doing is gently breaking the car in for the second buyer. Brokers and flippers are a different story, but then those folks aren't buying these cars at $100k over.

People will pay the 100k+ ADM. There’s a 992 GT3 being rented on Turo here in Los Angeles for 1k per day with a 100 mile limit. It’s probably booked half the days per month if not more.
