Is there real evidence that an Spyder RS is on the table?
Hmmmm, Spyder RS interesting, B-Road cruiser? I have yet to watch the video but other than more power what else could it be, no top at all aka BergSpyder?

Given that they turned the GT3 into the latest Speedster, which was way more effort then adding some RS bits onto the existing Boxster Spyder, I'd say this argument doesn't hold much water.
The best scenario for the platform would be if they made the GT4RS available to way more people and made a Spyder RS a limited numbered car to rake in the dollars. Then everyone wins.

If the name existed historically, Porsche is more likely to do it IMO... 550 RS Spyder

Porsche already did that with the RS60.

Thank you Gentlemen!

Default GT 4 RS vs GT4 Clubsport

Is anyone knowledgeable able to elaborate if the modifications introduced with the RS will be transferred to the racing version of the GT4 (Clubsport).
The swan neck supports are already in the GT 4 track package and will be used also on the RS, the side inlets are part of the MR package ( I believe) and will come also on the RS... Any other commonality?

They already make a SRO package for the Side Inlets for the Clubsports....and I believe the 718 Clubsport comes with swan neck supports

Paddock speculation is that there will be an "evo" kit sometime soon to help make the 718 more competitive, and it'd make marketing sense to correlate the Evo release with the RS release, but my cleaning lady is hard of hearing and sometimes doesn't get things right.

Why do you suppose that? Same weight as GT3 with 10ps less, smaller tires, and strut suspension (vs. multi-link rear and double-wishbone front)?

I wouldn't give away the GT3 allocation just yet (but GT4RS might be a better value)...

No, you can't make a currency comparison like that. The German price for a GT3 is 171k Euros and US price is $161k.

Does the German pricing include the tax? In US tax is added on later depending on the state you are located in.

Yes, that is a part of the problem with currency conversion.

Yep I’ve been saying this and it’s my understanding also that RS will be launched along side new 718 CS race car for 2022 race season.
Could be that the 718CS now moves to the 4.0 as well.

And then there is the equipment level. The US version has some that are optional in the German version.

But right now a 1:1 is possible since 1 Euro = $1.19 which as luck would have kind of cancels out the German VAT.

We still pay fewer US dollars here than Germans pay Euros ($10k less on GT3). Equipment levels are very similar (but no option for Clubsport here). Even though Euro was worth $1.25 when the GT3 was announced.

If 4RS costs 140k Euros in Germany, should be low $130k’s here (not $165k).
