Ha! And I thought nobody was looking. That right hand sweeper onto the front straight was a bit greasy as either your friend or the guy behind him found out too.

Good times! Making me think about doing another track day myself.

Anyone going to the Leadfoot Festival (www.leadfootfestival.com)? Looks like fun (not sure I'd be into dressing up in period costume though). Imagine having a driveway like that! According to the list on their site there are only a couple of Porsches entered -- a 3.6 Turbo and a Cayenne.

I was hoping to make it this weekend but doesn't look likely. Will probably go to HD on Sunday to check it out, especially if Jason is running.

I know Steve will be there so I'm sure there'll be Porsche nuts around.

Umm... someone is hill climbing a Cayenne?!

The weather's looking pretty average again so not sure if I'll go to HDs (I don't have the C4 option this weekend) although it looks like it is clearing in the afternoon. Will let you know.

I think the weather did improve and you did make it to HDs in your new car? I stopped briefly at the track on my way back home from up north and just caught the end of your last session.

I went to a driver training at Taupo yesterday run by the BMW club (who were nice enough to invite PCNZ members along) and had a great day. I spun once -- in fact I saw 3 cars spin during the day and they were all Porsches :-) I imagine this gave the BMW guys some laughs, but as Racing Ray said to me later in the day, it showed we were really trying!

Yes I did make it by about lunch time. Had some fun getting used to the different power delivery and that last session seemed very crowded with cars. Felt a bit like maybe I shouldn't be tracking this beast but it is so much fun!!! Also had some knocking from the left rear especially in the RH sweeper which is of some concern; wheel bearing on its way out? You should have come and said gidday. There was a guy Mathew there in an M3 who has just bought a NZ new red C2 manual who said he was heading down to Taupo with it. Did you meet him?

Yes, I met Matt and talked to him quite a bit, nice guy. I think all the Porsche drivers ended up in the same group. I meant to ask him how he was finding the C2 compared to the M3.

Funny you should mention knocking in the rear of the car -- I had something similar, particularly during the slalom. I kept on thinking I'd hit/run over a cone. Must look into that.

Hope everyone has a great Easter.

Without clicking on the link, that will be the GT3 RS 4.0 in Christchurch?

The guy is dreaming with the price is Carrera GT money, but would be a sweet ride and decent long term investment generally.

That's the one.

There's a black, delivery miles only one in the UK for 210k GBP on PH which seems a little more realistic. Well, as realistic is a $450k motor is going to get!

Sweet kit but when you look at what that type of money would buy you in other classic/ collectable Porsches its got to be hard to justify.

After chatting to a few guys I want to try some Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Specs. Anyone know the best place to buy them from in NZ?
