Sean. I just love those groundsky pictures. I can look at them for ages. There's nothing better than a 911 caught in action. Makes static images look mundane. I bet you have a regular gander at them stuck in Sing. I know what its like....!
Am I correct in saying you are running 285/18 on the rear? What are your fronts? 235? I ran with 225/285/18s for a number of years but when I fitted the motorsports LSD I felt the rear was a bit over tyred for I reverted to 265 rears (235 fronts weren't available in RE11). Of course I could probably have dialed more out using the ARBs, although Im still finding the perfect fast road set up with the shocks/ARBs (getting close). Rear traction at lease in dry conditions has never seemed to be the issue, its front traction that I have been experimenting with the most

I get a little front sledging now and then in turn 2 but really the car is set up nicely right now.
With 993 GT2 Evo uprights in the front it should be awesome.
Yeah the photogs were good for the event. Sadly captured everything! lol

Thanks Sean. Yes that was my experience too and the general wisdom of other track junkies on the 993 board. I run 225 F & 265 R. Are you running 225 F?
Let me know where you end up going for the uprights. Ive looked at these too as my car is low (but not as low as yours) and theres talk about the GT2 tie rods no longer being available form Porsche to compliment the package. Im not sure what people are doing but they may be using an RS tie rod...

Fronts are 235/40/18s.
Will probably have Steve R source them as he has a very good global network and regularly has stuff on the boat from the UK. Will let you know what he says on pricing etc for the conversion. Perhaps if there's two of us we can get a deal on the parts (I guess Deano will fit for you).

Just bought a Boxster
Hi Guys
I bought a 2004 Boxster S today. Not my first Porsche, I had a 1973 911T 20 years ago but that had to be sold. Enjoying driving a flat 6 again and the newer Porsches are more luxurious than the old 911s. Also had to go for Tiptronic so the wife can drive it but I must admit a preference for the Tip in town.
I need to get the a/c display fixed, this looks the best option:
http://modulemaster.com/en/services/...e_lcd_kit.html
I want to fit the IMS Guardian. Anyone any experience with this? I note there's a junior version about $100 cheaper.
The hood needs treating. I know Porsche sell the aerosol spray for treating hoods but are there any other better/cheaper options?
There's some pics of the car on the Boxster forum so I'll resist re-posting, look forward to some good discussions and sharing experiences on Rennlist.

Welcome back into the fold. I'm sorry I'm pretty new to Porsche too and only really know a little about the 964.
I'd say check in with one of the independents like Motorscience or Europacific if you're after non-Porsche parts alternatives.

In this case I find it hard to believe that someone who knows these cars would pitch a manual at that price. Deferred maintenance could easily run $$$. I'd be very cautious.

On a different topic, I'm slowly putting together parts for my track oriented car. Taking Sean's advice to look at a different wheel for driving comfort I bought a Momo adapter off trademe. The seller pointed me to a quick release bracket. Do any of you use those? Also which Momo wheel is best for the track? I like the ones with indents for thumbs but see that there is a simple circle as well, with the yellow position line. This is very much for track use.
