Z221s are in the process of being fitted. Going to run them in tomorrow morning then swap back to PSCs for the rest of the day. The break-in seems worthwhile given claims of 30% better life (http://www.goaheadtakethewheel.com/b...aving-process/).

Interesting info, but too late for me. Are you now running a support vehicle for the spare set of tyres?

Only when I'm in the good books with my girlfriend.

That was my experience on a cold wet morning as well. Today was reasonably cold, I think we can expect better on our tour. In fact tomorrow is looking good. Don't worry.

Yes, at 6.30am this morning my car read 7 degrees Celsius. Coldest morning here in Auckland for a while.

Tomorrow at HD? If so, then I'm looking to set up shop at 8:15 ~ 8:30. Briefing is at 9:00.

On a separate note, my Trademe finger is itching. Some one please buy that 993? I caught myself just in time as I was thinking how to fit another car in the garage.

Opens 7.30 but I've found you have plenty of time to register if you arrive at 8.30-9.00. 9.30am driver briefing. Good idea to complete the registration form tonight. You can download it from the main index page of the rennsportgruppe forum.

Gave me a fright for a second, John. The briefing is at 9:30. Documentation is 8:00 until 9:15.

Gates Open at 7.30am
Enter the complex via gate 2 & go left through the tunnel to the infield pit area.
Please leave trailers well away from the Pit area as we will need all of pit lane for cars entered in the event.

Documentation 8.00am to 9.15am (In the Documentation Room opposite the Skid Pan)

Please come to documentation as soon as you arrive, this helps avoid long queues around 8.30am
Please bring your drivers license & the indemnity form that is attached and it helps if second drivers (or passengers caged cars only) come to documentation with you).

Drivers Briefing is at 9.30am Sharp
Includes a roll call, to go on the track you must attend the briefing. If you are late there will be another briefing at lunch time.

.
REMEMBER
Bring your Drivers License, Helmet & suitable overalls, ie clean 100% cotton or race overalls.

Yay for inconsistency. The email Tony sent out for the August 31st event says 9:30. Then again, it also says the 31st is a Sunday in the subject line.

Since it is three bike groups and us, it might pay to be there early just in case. No sleep in for me tomorrow!

Who can sleep in on track days? Not me. It's shaping up to be my best chance to improve the 964 driving performance so far. Dry, no longer running in, lots of AIM data to guide me.
