Good, never considered road noise with them fitted. Not sure about ride, same as the bridgestones beforehand. Soft compared to GT3 tyre obviously, definitely a road tyre. Had a quick look at tire rack, price aside, I would prefer the T1R to the Firestone or BF Goodrich option.

Brain fade time. How does original fit with Duck tail? It doesn't, yet I couldn't resist picking this up off Trademe. Last fitted to a 1977 Carrera 3.0

Nice kit John, particularly liking that mint gearknob and the ducktail. Been trying to get hold of you for a few days BTW but just keeps going straight to voicemail. I take it you're in the back of beyond? Drop me a line when you come across a phone thanks.

I'm waiting on your fuel costs to sort out the Dunlop 800 cross holding etc. Please update those on the RSG site. I think I have everyone else's there. Also please put any other expenses there e.g. BB2 engine costs.

I found roaming in Aus surprisingly cheap when I was in Melbourne a couple of months ago?

That compares to roaming packages for $19 for seven days that include the same data plus texts and minutes. I rarely use my phone to ring someone so the data allowance is everything, especially as many people have FB messenger or message in the iPhone.
In a similar vein, for those of you wondering what has happened to this thread, the inane posts have moved to FB. It's much easier to post pics etc there.

Will do John. The 800 was BB2's first proper test of her mill so was good to see her strong on that front.

Just came across a simple online tester to see how your reaction time compares against other drivers of various ages.
Even has the steering wheel on the right side for us NZers:

Find it here: https://www.justpark.com/creative/reaction-time-test/
Scroll down to check how your score compares, and do shout out if you find you're inhuman!
The below shows the effect of a 670ms 'thinking' time on dry stopping distance (ie probably a 470ms reaction time + 200ms foot transfer time if not a left foot braker) Of course someone limit braking a Porsche would almost halve the shown braking distance - in which case reaction time makes a proportionately larger contribution to stopping distance - but it gives some idea of the effects:
