There's a few groups driving down from AK (remember seeing posts on the Air Cooled FB page regarding a convoy). Should be lots of fun. I'm heading down with a few others. Sing out if you are (or are interested) and we can create or join a convoy.

Good stuff! I'm flying into Auckland late on Friday, and getting a lift down with my brother, but will keep an eye out for a Porsche contingent

Yes, another brilliant RSG event. Quite amazing how much the open pit lane format adds to the social side - none of the 'where do I need to be now' stress of a typical track day, and you can hold a conversation without someone having to cut it short for their start time. Topped off nicely by the BBQ after at Steve and Mandy's. Really enjoyed it and go to check out quite a few cars that have earned their fame on this thread - whether new to RSG or recently renewed. Another big thanks to all involved.

Im also going for a day. what a great start to the year, RSG track day. FOS, then Leadfoot after that!

Anyone know of or have any big reds for sale? Helping a mate with a build and he is after some, they are on back order and have been for some time from Porsche. So we are now looking at used ones regardless of condition as we will get them re built.

PM me with details, if you have any leads.

Cheers guys

For some reason I recall Macca had 'fun' with a back ordered brake set. Maybe he can help?

I am considering Leadfoot. It is the only free weekend I have between now and March so I might need the downtime, or possibly not.

Yes I did indeed have issues with my Big Red order. I cant recall but I think it was the fronts were delayed by at least 5 months. Brembo now make these in batches annually for PAG. If you wait long enough they become available but often the backorder list is larger than the number of units manufacturered if the out of stock situation has lasted long enough. I have to say Im very impressed with their longevity. On a car of 1300kg or less and with under 400 bhp they will last 30-40 track days before the pads or rotors need replacing I expect (assumes decent cooling and no backing plates).

Nathan. There are some 6 pot 996 GT3 calipers on trade me for sale. these may work with adaptor brackets but will limit minimum wheel size t 18" I suspect....

Understandable Matt - must be like a kid the night before Christmas. Thanks for the pics - always nice to perve at some new serious metal, and all the more so if local to NZ.

I've now got a copilot for the trip back to HB.

My 5 year old son is flying up to AKL with me tomorrow and we pick it up early Thursday morning. He has 2 requests - dinner at sky city orbit and doughnuts at the Kohi cafe after we pick the toy up ..... Kids these days!

Yep - my CGT is on display for both weekends in one of the tents and I'll be there this weekend (moving house the following w/e).

I've got a mate and his father driving the RS there and doing the GT3 laps so will be driving my wife's cayenne there and just spectating the GT3 laps.

Haven't got any tickets yet but will wing it. I've managed to find a bed in one of the apartments which is cool.
