Drifting
With all this early car talk, here is A little bit of encouragement for you fella's to get a project going.
I just realised Pel that your SC has carbs. Looking forward to seeing how it goes.
No plans yet of course but I can see the T one day with something exotic feeding the engine.

Knowing Steve, he purchased the car because he could see all the development costs in converting into a Targa race car being sold for free.
Calling Steve's car stock is like calling Sean's 964 RS Tribute stock........
To repeat it is $100K+ (or a GT3).........

Or buy this and throw away after the Festival??
Macca - we should go halves, share the enduro drive and call it an adventure?
Given it's not valuable, you could lean on people through corners and become very wide to pass, a bit like a 2K Cup honda with a loose exhaust??
Edit - on re-reading it only has a half cage??

Pete,
Dave's sold about 3 months ago and has funded (some) of his new 997.2 GT3 - going to be quite top heavy this year??
What would a full cage cost for the 44?

To take a standard 997 and turn into Steve's car would cost you over $100k, $60-70k for the donor and $40K for the cage, PSS10 suspension, chip, exhaust, harness, racing seats, RSS suspension bits, 997 Turbo brakes, racing pads, engine mounts, bigger rims, deep sump and dozens of other things you can't see, not listed or know about.

I think the key as Pel and others have already cottoned on to is buy a car with some level of race/track preparation first (doesnt matter if its a LHD turned RHD) and then just do some final fettle and take it to the track for under 35K. This way you can have your fun and if its hits the wall and is mortally wounded...well its not such a financial hit really is it (compared to Cyclones, and other natural disasters anywhay LOL!).
