So who did I see coming back in to AK, on the northern motorway about 8:45 this morning? I think it was a black 964 followed by a red one. Early morning run up north by chance?

That peanut oil could be the go. As for other options, I've had some past success with one or more of the following depending on circumstances: heatgun (melts wax and helps spread it so it doesn't dry in white patches), wax and grease remover (could be a bit aggressive on soft plastics though) and Wurth plastic treatment (probably also only lasts for a month or so if used alone but it comes in nice big containers).

Thanks for posting those Dragon's Breath wheel cleaning pics too Doug - pretty compelling!

Both blues do still kind of camouflage or blur the lines between the body work and the black elements though. Pastels are back in vogue just now but that will pass again. Around those mid-blues, I reckon something like electric blue sets off body designs more sharply:

Actually, juxtaposing that second one of yours and the one above show them to be very close so it may just be the overcast day not doing that one full justice!

Matt need your advise on how this is solved? I assume this is several thousand dollars of headers, exhaust and chip?
Sounds like you want a diesel Audi instead?

My advice is to learn to drive it properly, send it to Sharkwerks for a 3.9/4.1 kit, or "upgrade" to a GT3 with an addle-daddle automatic box so you don't need to learn to drive it properly.

My only criticism is the car needs a geo (which I knew) and that there is not a lot of torque under 4000 RPM.
Three options on the torque front I reckon Paul:

1 - Keep it over 4000 and enjoy both the torque and the sound.
2 - Get a GT2 for its GT3 handling and Turbo torque.
3 - Test drive a Honda S2000 then hop back in yours - if you don't total the S2000 trying to cross an intersection. They rev to 8900rpm but down low they have less torque than a ride on lawnmower. Will make your GT3 feel like a supercharged AMG!

Probably part of the 964 run this morning. Wasn't me though if i'd have to guess i'd say Garys red 964 though i'm not sure who the black car would be unless it was a C3

Macca's right peanut oil is an old trick. If that doesn't work i have a new product called "Black Wow". I'm usually very underwhelmed testing new stuff but this is the shizzle. Its seriously economical. The small bottle is only 60ml and the amount used did my whole car. A small amount does utter wonders and WOW. You are welcome to try some if you get stuck

Another option is the 4:1 final drive from the Cup, but it's not cheap (or ideal really, but a regear is moonbux). But if you want the LSD to work you'll need to replace the plates by now anyway, and once the box is open it's just a simple matter of money...

Hopefully I'll see the track again soon, it has been so long I'm not sure I remember which way the circuit goes.

Yep, no prob to collect tomorrow, give me a bell/txt when you want it, anytime after 6ish.

I can say your wheels looked damn good today. I didn't say anything, but I sure did notice.

Ok, how do I get ahold of some of that stuff?

Sorry, make that four options. The problem is that the only way to get low down torque is serious battery power per a hybrid or to burn a lot of fuel per revolution, and that takes a lot of oxygen. Beyond a bigger engine size or turbo/super/twin charging, there is still one more option. I don't think you'd be inclined to play russian roulette with your car but for the sake of completeness, the fourth way to get more oxygen into those cylinders at atmosperic pressure is:

4 - nitrous oxide.

Been done to at least one 996 Turbo before (getting it to around 1500HP with its other mods) but I think everyone here would cry if anyone did it to a GT3!

Torque only matters when you're in the wrong gear.
